in Credit cards
Hi All
My WIfe is just settling up her Virgin credit card. They have written to her offering her 2 years 0% interest on balance transfers. Does anyone know if she can transfer my balances or is this only for cards in her name?
One of my cards (Nationwide) is soley in my name but she is on my Barclaycard a/c.
Thanks

She can do the transfer with Virgin online. All they will ask for is the account number and amount to transfer - she won't even be asked whose name the card is in.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0

Wow, that is good news! Thanks.0

You can do it with most cards - but Virgin is one of the easiest. I have done it myself a couple of times.
The only thing you couldn't do would be to do a transfer to another virgin or mbna card. But as yours are different providers then that is not an issue.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
I'm in an arrangement with MBNA for my one but the other two I'm just paying off slowly. This should speed things up a bit without any interest. Just got to work out/check the combined balance wont cost more in repayment than I'm paying now!0

one thing to note is the fact the debt will be become hers and hers alone, should you split before the debt is repaid.
I know you're married and this will probably never happen, but it is a point to be noted.0 -
Indeed. But if she hasn't left me by now, I doubt she will!0
