have you a local abbatoir near you, we go to one and they are very reasonable with nice meat, they will also marinate it for you , they have about 10 different marinades for any type meat
also Aldi and Lidl do the german bratzwurst sausage which are great on the barby
also pitta bread is great on the barby as a change from just buns, kids love them as well

MM- you own a bull and you need to buy beef??
j/kidding, I hope your BBQ is a great success- make the place look nice with some strung up lights around the garden- I think it makes it look like people made an effort, and it keeps the muddy feet outside and off the carpets for longer, cos they can see where they are going.:DMember of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19

Ailuro I was going to say that!
Anyway I noticed your signature and can fix your keyboard (because I'm brill!) It's stuck in American.
Go to control panel
Open languages and regional settings
Click the languages tab, then click on details
You can change the language back to American in there and taa daa, your pound sign is back :-) Hope that helps
Ph and have a lovely barbeque MM, sorry for taking it off topic a littleComping, freebieing and trying to pay the mortgage off early!0 -
I usually do things like chicken breasts, steaks, homemade burgers, sausages etc etc but slice them smaller. Kebabs also worth out cheaper aswell as having the healthy veg on them. Mini jackets are great, new potatoes ideal for that, I scoup the middles out, mix the middle with some cheese (and spring onion if I have any) then fill back in, scrummy!
Aswell as the hot food I usually do a salad, pasta with dressing some veg etc, rice flavoured with veg etc, beans (suprised how many of these we go through!)
Hope your partner was successful in his shopping trip. One day I might be more organised...........
