Hi, I've managed to not have a bad day at all today, even though the house looks like a laundrette just now with all the washing hanging up. :hello:
Everyone: thanks for your kind words of support.
Today I've had the third day of my holiday and I've:
Done a mystery shop. £12.50 coming my way.
£6 Quidco paid. £22 pending.
Claimed a refund of £12.48 having been charged twice on my debit card.
Took £4.40 worth of Tesco Price Promise vouchers to Tesco. Got a whole bag of shopping for 79p. Check if you can get a voucher here. (Link) You need to have bought at least 8 items.
Earned 30p worth of Nectar Points through Nectar AdPoints. (Link)
Made toad-in-the-hole for two for tonight's dinner for 70p. Made foccacia bread for supper for 30p.
Watched a DVD loaned by neighbour.
Ate homemade biscuits I baked yesterday.
Made a pact with OH: no Valentine's card this year.
Made gravy with water from boiling broccoli.
Turned hob and oven off 5 mins before end of cooking time; food finishes cooking using residual heat.
Look for a replacement for my spare (£0 balance, 0%) credit card. I'm only keeping it in case we have a life-threatening emergency. They made a mistake on my account and consequently I can't see my account online which is really annoying as I do use it occasionally. They've promised to fix it twice and haven't.
 Stopped OH accidentally going overdrawn.
OFFERS:
Free softcup sample from Boots. (Link)
Free nail art wrap. (Link)
Free burger and chips at Yates' when you buy a drink. (Link)
Win(?) funky ovengloves via Facebook. (Link)
50p off sweet chilli sauce. Website's a bit temperamental. (Link)

Hello everyone
Dull day today, not much to report
- Checked bank, not surprisingly there's no change!
- BLD dinner from stores
- Another NSD
- DM looked after DD today, saved on holiday club fees
- DM lit a fire so it's not QUITE so cold when I got home
- Worked (semi) hard and kept my head down
Boss has allocated me another task which I felt uneasy about due to our argument last week, same thing as tryingtocutback really, although I got the payrise but not the title that went with it and I was more interested in the title as it would further my career. I'm just trying not to rock the boat while I'm looking for other jobs
I love my job
JxNothing to report as yet...give me a minute...!0 -
Not been on here for a couple of days as things been a bit manic:eek:
Well maybe a bit of good news to cheer people up, well it cheered me up anyway. Did a bit of work at DM company today and one of her contractors mentioned he needed someone to do his paperwork. Spoke to him today and we come to an agreement. Its not masses but enough to pay a bit more off. Just shame I am single and on my own tonight with no one to share the good news with.
Well today:
Done an extra days work
B/L/D from stores - took my lunch to work with me again today
Sorted Kitchen sides out
put a load of washing on so drys in front of log burner tonight
lit log burner to keep central heating off, but now running out of logs
Going to relax for a bit now as got another extra job to do tomorrow.APR NSD - 0/10
Paid off in 2013 so far £125.00
April Money made - £18.000 -
Hello everyone, been lurking on DFW board for a while, taken to reading it at every opportunity.
Finally got my own behind in gear and did a proper budget for my finances yesterday. Feeling very positive about getting to grips with my debts now. Have decided that I really need to tackle things before my eldest goes off to Uni in 18 months time. With one less "child" my finances will be even more stretched than they are at present.
Really pleased to find this thread so thank you to kevvlar for starting it. Always feel a bit daunted by chipping in on the long standing ones but this one is new so Im being a bit brave.
So, day off work today - my only one of the week and spent it with bezzy mate.
Went charity shop shopping and got a couple of bits - god I love those shops!! Only problem with seeing my mate is that she's got alot more disposable income than I, so its very easy to get carried away on a spending spree whilst in her company. Though thankfully she loves charity shops too - though spends far more than I in them.
My DFW day didnt go too well, as had to wait for friend at hospital this afternoon while she had her appt - suggested I waited in cafe which I did. Ended up with coffee and a muffin which wasn't part of the plan.
But on a positive note, I have
Checked online bank account & moved money about
Paid part of outstanding council tax bill
Made a steamed jam pudding for tea
to fill kids up and prevent serial cupboard/fridge gazing
Checked ebay sales
Feeling a bit grumpy now as DD2 has just informed me that I have to provide her with food for the outing she is going to tomorrow (a local theme park) for a friends birthday. Wasn't expecting that and feeling cross coz I've budgeting down to my last £20 this week. She said she'd take a packed lunch but I feel like a right meanie.
Right, off to hunt for a £1 coin which Im pretty sure I havent got for youngest's tooth which fell out this afternoon.
Happy friday evening everyone :hello:0 -
