oh Ally you poor thing what an awful day, I can empathise with you I have had three separate flooding "incidents" at home, one resulting in me having to move out for several months to my mums!
Hope you are getting sorted out and on the positive side no one was hurt.
Keep smiling my lovely x
Today I have been to chiro app and had a rescan, down to one app a week now from three times a week.
Had breakfast and checked banking.
Put on a small load of washing
Now having a lazy afternoon in bed watching TV and browsing MSE until its time to get ready for work tonight. Three shifts left and then off for a week and I am still not driving so saving a fortune in fuel
Much love

Starter suggestions.... Well your menu looks quite italian. How about a simple but delicious tomato bruschetta? Or a simple garlic bread with cheese on top? Olives and bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar for dipping?
xCan't think of anything smart to put here...0 -
actually I meant to ask for some advice - hope you dont mind.
For some months I have been expecting a pay rise (someone is leaving and a new job description has been created for me including some of the tasks that they used to do).
Well now apparently there has been a "change of plan" which means this will go on hold (well the pay rise bit anyway). But, this person is still leaving and I will still be expected to carry out those extra tasks.
I havent been officially told this but there will be a meeting where I will be told (I have heard on the grapevine!).
I wondered how I should handle it? I am tempted to say that, without the pay rise, I wont do the extra tasks. I dont want to appear unhelpful but, well, why should I? Im not good at confrontation though and I am happy to do the tasks, I would have just liked the recognition of some extra money for doing them.
Any advice would be gratefully received - I hope this hasn't come out as too much of a moan!
Thanks,

Hi everyone,
So I'm back after going AWOL for a couple of weeks, I was just lurking to begin with & then lost all motivation entirely & stopped even visiting the forums. I still don't know why as I should be more motivated than ever after paying off CC B in full! I just feel like this will never be over at the moment & that our efforts are for nothing, which is stupid...so here I am in the hope that you will all motivate me, & I need to take some time to read some of the challenges I have signed up to which should also help!
Thanks Kevvlar for starting us off, good luck with your interview.
NTBY - Sorry to hear you're still struggling, I can really sympathise at the moment as I feel so glum & don't really know why! I thought it was just being poorly taking it out of me but I still feel rubbish despite being on the mend! I think Zepsgal's suggestions are fab, I was going to suggest some of the same or perhaps some baked mozzarella in breadcrumbs or one of those mozzarella/tomato salads drizzled in a bit of oil.
Ziggy - Just wanted to thank you again for being so sweet, I honestly didn't think anyone would even notice me not posting & I needed a good kick to get motivated, I feel so proud to call you a friend too
Ally - Omg, what a nightmare! What a terrible attitude the plumber had.
Patator - Good luck with the job application.
Tryingtocutback - I think I'd try to stand strong & ask why they are not delivering something they promised & what they are planning to offer instead? You could at least ask for a smaller pay increase than they had originally offered.
Today I have/will:-
- B/L/D from stores
- Brekkie was a HM porridge pot
- Dinner from meal plan - leftover kale & mushroom lasagne with garlic bread to make it a full meal
- Made use of free water & cake at work
- Log calories using free app
- Check postcode lottery
- Charge phone at work
- Heating off as long as possible & on low when needed
- Check online banking
- Check for new mystery shopping opportunities
- Enter some comps
- Do some surveys
- "Free" guitar lessons on Rocksm1th
- Go to second job tonight - driving so I can't drink & spend money
- Try & catch up on the threads I've missed
- Bought a Euromillions ticket...got to be in it to win it right?! & our new syndicate does not start until next week
- Send reminders to ebayers that have not paid me yet
- Smile

Hey laydees
wow just managed to read everyon'e posts and so much to respond to!
Perni - what an excellent suggestion. I agree Tryingtocutback with this. I have learnt from working with my manager it is always important to prepare and decide what you are prepared to give and what you want. If doesn't have to be a confrontation, its not confrontational to be assertive but it is in the delivery. If the promotion isn't on the table at the moment, ask when it will and what benefits you could expect to renumerate the additional work in the meantime. How long this temporary solution will go on for. I think this is important as in my experience if you are prepared to take on more it then becomes the expectation. Be brave, you can do this you are only be fair to everyone
Hope you're ok perni maybe your just at low ebb with the debt busting.
NTBY I was going to suggest aubergine & parmessan bake, delish and very easy mmmmmm
stacey looks like your luck is turning this week! fantastic news re the ciropractor
welcome back starnac good to see you x
patator welcome! Just reading your post I can see you are going to fit right in here :T
ally OMG what can be said? How stressfull and annoying for you. After all the hard work and effort you have put in. You must both be so angry! Probably preaching to the converted but definitely push for a refund from their insurers. You can get it if you do. I worked with someone who a contractor ruined a brnad new carpet and in the end (after a lot of arguing, complaining amnd persistence) she got a brand new carpet of the same quality as she had originally
ziggy enjoy the meal, sometimes we just have to be free! x
Kevvlar thanks for starting us off and really hoping the interview went well!
just wanted to say how wonderful I thought you all are when I was reading the thread and how grateful I am we have such a nice support and caring daily place to chat x
ok no to post a list! Though have been dfw today -
* went to sains and only bought 3 items on list
* purchased more coffee pods off of ebay - works out 1/2 the cost of in the shops
* trying to get through workload - 3 out of 4 housing officers off sick (I'm the assitant manager and the manager is on AL this week!)
* all meals from stores
* recording miles for expenses
* going to dinner at friends tonight so no no food, cooking costs!
* need to complete my job application. Hopefully not more than about an hour - hope so just need to read it through and make a few additions (why my skills/experience meets this role. Its a very similar role to one I have done before but working with families rather than poeple with Mental Health issues) my boss gave me his particular style of "motivational" talk yesterday which was very motivating indeed!DF as at 30/12/16
