    LOL.
Now, if they actually said that, you just reply that they don't work for you, they work for the hotel, so send the bill there.
No. The request to cancel from a phone call through another phonecall, queried by another phone call will simply not be actioned. The paper chain will just happen regardless, but with the benefit that they'll know who they are dealing with will take their threats seriously. Sorry OP. Really... Just ignore it.

    Some good news.

I rung up the hotel and spoke to the duty manager. I told her about what happened and she agreed to write to ParkingEye to cancel my "parking charge notice".

I will ring up ParkingEye tomorrow to confirm the cancellation.

I will write again once I confirm the cancellation with them.

You're taking this far too seriously - stop phoning and writing - just ignore any communication you receive from Parking eye.

  • This thread is of enormous help to us noooobies who are getting these notices for the first time. Thanks to all. I'm just wondering though that in my case as I bought the parking ticket (railway station incident - Apcoa) and displayed on the windscreeen doesn't this suggest that I accepted the terms and conditions and thus entered into a contract?:(

Possibly, although under contract law a party cannot seek compensation over and above genuine losses from the other party in the event of a breach. So that would be the cost of the P&D ticket covering any overstay (for example), not some made up £60 'penalty' or whatever.

    So that's them scuppered.

We're happy to help drive these scum out of business.

Doesn't matter what the 'offence', whether its overstaying, or parking ten cars high in a motorcycle spot while staddling the white line. The same rules apply.
Rule one.... If it's a parking charge notice. Ignore it:
Rule two.... Never reply in any way.
    Rule three,,,, Don't fret.

  • Thank you for clarifying! I paid up once before years ago but it gave me major anger for days as it was so unfair!!:D

You mean if it's a PARKING Charge Notice, ignore it. Never ignore a real Council PCN (Penalty Charge). :)
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
