You're right there but they can't lose anything by trying and it is just possible that there is, for example, a single mum that wants to share childcare responsibilities/someone that has some compassion etc. It is a free resource that they can try...not a solid housing proposal but in the same situation I would try everything and anything.
And I'm at least not encouraging them to make a potentially life-shattering decision...0 -
Sorry, what are you expecting these schemes or associations to provide? Contraception/family planning advice? Cheap accommodation?
Yeah, the op doesn't realise that whilst most people have needs and wants, in this situation there is only needs.
It's not a case of cutting down the luxuries here, it's a case of cutting them out completely.
As I've said, I think they came on looking for that knight in shining armour to provide their deposit but, unfortunately, that knight in shining armour is a mythical creature - kind of like unicorns and those happy women in the sanitory pad advertisements

1. Call the police as soon as they 'violently argue'. This can be anonymous. Definitely stress the 'violent' and 'my partner is pregnant' parts.
2. Contact your local social services and tell them your situation, and refer them to the police, they will have written reports on the incident
3. Social services/council should help you to find safe accommodation0 -

yeah, in a hostel or a b&b which they will have to pay for themselves.
OP, go back to your parents for a couple of months, the money saved plus her uni grant will give you enough for a deposit on a private rental.Be Alert..........Britain needs lerts.0 -
