2 weeks is pretty soon tbh. It could be that they are writing to the hospital or GP. I'd give it another couple of weeks4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0

Mine took 16 days from the date of posting to a phone call telling me I'm in the Support Group I was really surprised it was so quick, but again I think it's a lot to do with the info you give them about your day to day activities as well as evidence. If you cover all the things they're likely to ask you they often won't need to see you face to face.
Satirical you act as though it's automatic that you get called for a face to face assessment which is clearly not true, not everyone has to go through the appeal process.
Anyway, there's no telling how long it will take for them to assess your friend and it will be dependent on all sorts of factors, not soley her condition but staffing etc.
I would say 2 weeks is a bit too soon, give them 4 weeks then ring.0 -

rossireps, you can always give ATOS a phone directly on the number I posted above, it's a free phone number, and at least it will put her mind at ease as to whether she's being called for a medical or not.
It certainly has for me knowing that I don't need to go to ATOS again in the near future

See it looks like it depends on which part of the country you're in too. What I would advise is if you use a wheelchair, to make sure there really is access. The assessment centre in Glasgow is atrocious4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0
