Amazon - late next day delivery

Options
I ordered a DVD and paid £4.99 for next day delivery, so that it would arrive in time for a birthday. I bought it early on Tuesday, it should have arrived on Wednesday, but it arrived today (Thursday morning).

The DVD was sold directly by Amazon and I've left one-star packaging feedback, but I can't find anywhere that I can complain to Amazon and request a refund for the extra postage I paid.

Does anyone know how to do this?

Incidentally, it was a Curb Your Enthusiasm DVD, and I can imagine this is EXACTLY the sort of thing Larry David would get in a fuss about :)

Thanks everyone. I think it was Royal Mail who sent it - in fact I also sent a letter and paid next day delivery to Royal Mail, and that hasn't arrived on time either. Rage!

If you go onto your account you'll find the contact options. Give them a quick email explaining that it didn't arrive on time and they'll refund your postage costs no problem.

    lets clarify this
Do you mean slow delivering an item sent by next day service
or an item not sent by a next day service?

I have paid for Amazon prime.. so when I order from Amazon, it's nearly always 'guaranteed next day delivery'

Whenever DPD or HDN are tasked with delivering things, I get them next day. I had successive late deliveries with Royal mail, after having selected 'guaranteed next day delivery' on Amazon.

I think that sometimes they just put 'next day' RM items in with the first class post. Sometimes it'll get there next day, sometimes it won't.

which is exactly what I was getting at
Amazon have access to 2 next days services from RM
    Tracked 24 and Special Delivery
if they choose to use another service but sell it as guaranteed next day delivery
    then its down to Amazon.
if they use a next day service, then its down to RM

I didn't know there were two different kinds. I've yet to see a RM special delivery used for the Amazon 'next day' delivery.

Amazon did offer me a £5 voucher - which they promptly never gave me (and i've not chased)

There is no 'guarantee' as part of the 'next day guaranteed' :)

when prime started. all RM items were sent as SD
this has fizzled out but they still send many by SD. Especially noticeable on items dispatched on a Friday with Saturday Guarantee
Theres an ongoing thread regarding Amazon prime and their choice of services
