How Many CC's should one person have

Debit cards from some banks can look almost identical to credit cards. E.g natwest VISA debit and natwest VISA credit.
So it could be a mix of say 4 bank accounts and 8 credit cards.
But assuming you didn't get close enough to read the name on every card then they could just be fraudulent/stolen/skimmed cards. Although then 12 would possibly be too few.
either of those is right as well, i was just like  when I saw her stumbling around not knowing which 1 to pay with that I didn't notice the first part in bold so you could be right. :T
glad i knew when i took my wallet out it only had 3 cards :j and knew which one i had to pay with. wait a minute 3 cards!Total Debt in June 2013: Barclaycard 0% until Nov 2014: £1550

Currently have 4 cards, paid off in full by DD each month:-
Halifax MCard 2% Cashback on petrol/shopping
Aquacard 3% cashback
Capital One 1% Cashback + £10 cashback each year
Barclaycard (ex Egg) 1% cashback
Over £300 cashback last year without paying a penny interest or any fees. Make them pay you not the other way round.0 -
OH and I have a total of 10 cards between us with an available credit amount of over £72K.
Ironic considering there is only one wage earner in the family and our income is nowhere near that figure.
We regularly get sent 0% promo offers so if we chose to, we could easily swamp ourselves with unmanageable debt.
As it is, we do have debt but it is all 0% and very well managed.Herman - MP for all!0 -
I have 4 currently.
Capital One which has had a £0 balance for a while. I am keeping it for emergencies as the APR is a low 14% (lower than any other card I have ever had anyway).
Amazon which I use for day to day spending. It gives cashback (Amazon vouchers) and I pay it in full each month.
Creation - this was taken out for balance transfer only and I have never made a single transaction on it. I am 2 months away from paying it off, then will close the account.
Barclaycard - another balance transfer card. Has just under a £4k balance and probably another 12 to 14 months before this one is paid off. Might keep it around as the credit limit is pretty decent (£6.5k)0 -
I've got 7 at present, 3 with 0% on them, two with cashback, one for 'abroad' and one which has quite a big limit, which I never use, but just in case the roof falls in or something, I could at least get it fixed!0
