    Happy Birthday JackieO

Monnogran OH was over at Rookley last weekend fishing and he STILL has windburn!

Not much OS today as I'm at mum and dads tonight, as my little monster nephew will be there - he's 8 and a little monkey when he wants to be :)

Was supposed to be having a "date" with OH tomorrow as we haven't had a lot of time to ourselves recently. He's just text me to say he forgot he was on call - grrr! Looks like meal for one and carp telly for then :(

    Morning All,

    Happy Birthday JackieO:bdaycake:

Cold here today. Social Servieces coming to DD today about Dad. I have DGD tonight for tomorrow. Made a chilli for us all this evening.

Arm aches today, and knee still sore, and now I have a filthy cold.:o I think that's why I'm falling over a lot. My MS plays up when I have any sort of infection, so taking it easy today.

HM broccoli and stilton soup for lunch.

(((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))))))) for those who need them.
    I Believe in saving money!!!:T

animated-smileys-birthday-050.gif JackieO I hope that you are thoroughly spoilt, you deserve it x x

Food shopping this morning and spent more than I wanted too, but I did get lots of reduced meat and a whole leg of lamb for £8.57 and a sweet cherry tree, and an apricot tree so not too bad.
it has been a lovely bright day and I was going to put some washing on the line, but there is no wind so I have put it on airers instead.

I really must go and eat so BFN x

    Hi all

I'm really pleased you liked the recipes I posted; I'm not very confident about my cooking ability, (I'm more or less completely self-taught) so it does mean a lot to me.:o

Butterfly (((HUGS))) sweetie; sorry to hear about your diagnosis; bit of a lifestyle change for you I guess?
JackieO Hoppy Birdday – have a great day.
Having an “interesting” day here; I have nut loaf (as posted yesterday) to make, up to the point of getting it into the loaf tin, which can then go in the fridge overnight, and I need to prep carrots and an orange for a carrot'n'orange cake; the idea is I'll do the carrots in the food processor and zest and squeeze the orange ready, then mix the cake tomorrow, and cook it and the nut loaf at the same time (saving on leccy) when Mr LW is here to lift the tins in and out of the oven for me.

I also need to clean and dust the bedroom and the spare room (my Flylady schedule for today and tomorrow, need to get ahead of myself as Mr LW is wfh tomorrow also Mary the JR Cross will be arriving lunchtime tomorrow) and make mushroom risotto for tonight's dins – it needs to be an easy one-pot meal, because we have Mr LW's pal coming over for cider and Skyrim tonight.

Plus getting my regular WiiFitPlus and Brain Training done.

All this is all very well – but I keep having quite nasty dizzy spells and having to lie down on the sofa;:( so I'm having to do a bit, then when the dizziness threatens to make me fall over, go and do a task I can do lying down (like checking email, doing my online surveys etc; so everything seems to be a tad disjointed today.

Add in having to wear splints on both wrists, and it makes it really interesting!!

RosyRed, poor Leo :( It's awful when pets are poorly. Just like new borns, they just cant tell you.
  • Thank you all for your kind words re the diabetes, you really are a lovely supportive bunch x x x x x x x

I have spent the last 2 hours on the Diabetes UK website and have found lots of information and recipes, I can even have rice pud.:D

It looks set to be a very cold week with snow coming in on Sunday, so get ready for an icy blast. Stews and rice pud are definitely going on the menu plan :D

Rosy positive healing vibes are heading Leos way ((((Hugs))))
