professional passport photos rejected

Typical woman on woman exercise of authority.
If you're not in a rush to travel I'd skip check and send and just send it off. Id certainly put my faith in a professional with 30 years experience rather than some power mad working class woman with a vendetta against the world.
Thanks for your advice, but I am not sure how her being female is relevant. There are jobsworths of both sexes! And how do you know she is working class?0 -
Just send it off directly to the passport people!0

I have had my photos done at a local photographers ready to send off for renewal. I only paid £6 though. He said to me that very rarely, his pictures have been rejected because they are not sized absolutely correctly. He said if, in the unlikely event that should happen, he will re-do them FOC.
I have just had a look at the background and it is not white so hopefully that bit is right!0 -

A photographer who is "unable to size his photographs correctly" would ring alarm bells in my head! If I can do it at home with a digital camera and inkjet printer, I'd expect any professional to get it right 100% of the time!0 -

He did not say that they were incorrect. He said he had taken care to make sure that they were correctly sized. I was reassured that he said if there was a problem he would do them again.0 -

You just said he "rarely" has problems with them being the incorrect size - which therefore means sometimes he gets the size wrong. How can they not be incorrect but be the wrong size?0 -
I've always had mine done by Max Spieleman, who offer the same guarantee to redo, but are cheaper. They said some POs are always rejecting, and to just send them off. But its only certain POs like this in our area.0

I would say send the photo direct, the post office sometimes tries to justify the check and send fee by nitpicking. We have had someone working in our local post office that wouldnt use check and send. The size of the photo is from the chin to the crown of the head , if you can get that right 100% of the time with people with lots of bushy hair that you cant see through thats pretty good.0

Not at all. Class is based on your background, accent, things like that. Not what job you happen to be in at the moment.0
