Just wanted to say after getting hay fever last year I decided to try taking a teaspoon of local honey daily for a year to build up a resistance to the hay fever. I can't say if it's worked yet but I'm hopeful. I have heard that local honey makes you more tolerant of the pollens.

Are you on the right thread?

I must have missed something. :D

  • OMG! Do you mean you missed the whole 'wilfully spending money on medicines' charges! It's in the early pages.

Seven days of steroids kept mine at bay for four years but please don't go asking for them in pound land. You 'd get arrested.

I've done a very bad thing.

I bought a bottle of Blossom Hill Zinfadel (£6.29 at Tescos lol) and left it in the boot of the car until OH went to work.

I'm on a tight budget at the moment and you lot have got me paranoid. :rotfl:

I've never hidden alcohol in my life!

Did you hide the chocolate too?:p

  • Hi Scrimping, sounds like you are doing a great job already - well done!

I am a Teacher, noticed what you said about the workbooks.
I wanted to suggest using online interactive resources for Maths - bbc bitesize ks2/3 is AMAZING! Woodlands Junior has great games for your son that he can use - all educational but so much fun!

  • Ok, now I'm chuckling away! Working late tonight, just finished another article so I'm free for the weekend.

Still not had a drink yet!

Guess what we had for tea? Jacket spuds with tuna mayo, beans and salad. Must have cost around £3 in total.
I reckon that calls for a bottle of Dom Perignon!

I 'only' bought a 4 pack of chunky kitkats cos they were on offer. :o

They're in the cupboard for anyone who wants one (I've already taken mine out the pack). :D

I've been so good at trying to stick to a 'potential dole' ....(do people still call it dole or am I showing my age, lol) ....budget for a while but it's beginning to grate now and I caved.

I'll need to look for 'recipes using ice from the freezer' to make up for today's splurge. :rotfl:

    Is this correct?

    Yes it is.
    Drinks for home £90

    Drinking Out: £65

    90+65/31=5
