had my diabetic eye test today left eye ok , right eye couldnt even see the the first big H . when last year both eyes were virtually the same , got halfway down the opticians chart..... yet i had an eye test with specsavers in june 12 and bought new glasses. as my right eye really deteriorated this much? or did specsavers get it wrong? and what if anything can i do about it?

To do anything you would need to prove they were wrong. That would be impossible to do now. Eye sight can deteriorate at a very fast rate.0

thought as much, maybe its not their fault , but these glasses cost £130 and may have to fork out again not good0

The answer to that is simple.
Could you see more than the big H in June last year?
If the answer is yes, then the test was fine.
Remember it is YOU who advise the optician what you can or can't see.Never ASSUME anything its makes a>>> A55 of U & ME <<<0 -
yes i could see the H in june when i had the test , however a week later when i received said glasses , i should have asked for another go at the chart , new glasses always take a while to get used to, ergo et sum whatever that is .... either a mix up in the lab or my eye deteriorated in the 6 months... thank you0

The other possibility is that eye actually just can't see as well now due to diabetic changes. It may be nothing to do with the prescription/focus of the eye.
Did they look in the eye or take photos?Beware the character seeking personal gain masquerading as a moral crusader.

took photo of both eyes no diabetic effects, because optician was there to do only diabetic screening, he only did a basic test of my sight to compare with last years basic test while wearing current glasses . because the deterioration was so drastic , out of curiosity he tried a few lenses on my right eye , then i could see chart halfway down. because he wasnt being paid for a more thorough examination , he just recommended a full eye test a.s.a.p0

Well the next step is to get a full eye exam and see what has happened.
Such changes aren't common, but they do happen. It's not always the case that someone is at fault. If vision was that poor with your specs, surely you would have noticed at the time?Beware the character seeking personal gain masquerading as a moral crusader.
