Some advice please

We've just booked with thomson to go to sandford wsn't the cheapest but thought it was worth it because of the extra legroom, kids entertainment etc.Now that the booking is confirmed I find that we fly with My Travel flight no seat back telly no extra leg room not a happy bunny cant find an email contact for thomson only a phone number which I 've been on twice now for over an hour ( how good is my day) . Went back to check on their website and Sanford is listed as one of the destinations using ther new planes am I being stupid but I can find no mention of the fact that if you book through Thomson this is not the plane service provided.
If I'd known it was My Travel I'd have booked with them direct and saved money.

Help please:cool:

I have no idea why you should be travelling with mytravellite when you have booked via thomsons, I also can not find any email contact other than the form you have to fill on line, however, what has customer services said?

I found a site that they were doing all their planes up in fab 07 ready for launch in may 2007.

when you booked did you do this on line or over the phone? did you state anywhere that you wanted the extra service etc

I think you can only go back to customer services and ask them why they are advertsiing this service but you are not recieving it, you want a refund etc

out of interest, what is the difference in price between the two companies

where are you flying from and did you request the extra leg room when booking

it also says this in the t&c

    Aircraft
We may occasionally have to change the type of aircraft used on a particular flight without advance warning. In such circumstances where the passenger has paid an additional seat supplement and such seat cannot be provided, then the passenger shall only be entitled to a refund of the supplement paid.

flying from Glasgow there was no mention of the fact that it wasn't even a thomson flight so they havn't only changed the aircraft they are not even the carrier. This didn't come to light until I tried to book a kids meal.
there is about a £250.oo difference on the booking between thomsons and going through my travel for 4 people. I got their brochure for Florida which only mentions the new planes stressing all the advantages ie 33" legroom etc starting from May 2007 when on the website they again stess all this and if clicked on it takes you to the booking for Glasgow-Sanford with no mention that it isn't this service.

Is there a Flight Info page at the back of the brochure? It should show you which airline they use from each departure point.

We are flying with Direct Holidays (MyTravel) but from Birmingham. The info states that flights from here are provided by Thomsonfly.
Going down the Oteley Road to see the Shrewsbury aces! :T

    Hi,

A pretty good site for this type of "Florida" related question is The Dibb, https://www.thedibb.co.uk

    Beware, it's addictive though;)

    Have a good holiday.

    Cheers
