Or minds sitting on leather sofas at home either! Not thought of it that way.

Not against fur wearers at all, not given it much thought, but I don't think I'd be able to tell the difference between real and faux fur and I wouldn't bat an eyelid.

If I remember rightly you can't wear a fur coat if it's raining, - it'll ruin it?

    Do the animals carry umbrellas?:p

My friend has a real fox fur scarf from her mum, she would not buy one now but it already exists from decades ago. I think you can tell the difference, its extremely soft, so are my flatmates rabbit skin gloves, very soft on the inside with leather on the outside, but no one would know his gloves are rabbit skin as they would just see the leather.

There are a lot of good fake furs out there. There was a spate a long while back when protesters would thrown paint on anyone wearing a fur coat but I haven't heard of anything like that recently. If it's warm just wear it but be prepared you might get some abuse. Personally I'm against wild animals being killed for profit and animals being farmed solely for their fur but cows we eat and make use of the skins for leather and rabbit the same. Actually I don't like waste either so for me no reason to throw away a perfectly good old coat!

I'd buy a fur coat new if I could afford it!

Wear it with pleasure, so what if some loonies stare...

Peta have a campaign of giving old fur coats to animals shelter to keep the animals warm.

I have a vintage beaver coat which belonged to my granny. It has hung in a spare wardrobe for years as I wouldn't wear it and making sure no one else gets to wear either.

I wouldn't wear it but then I wouldn't wear a fake one either. I don't like the idea of animals being killed for fashion, as the animals are put through horrendous abuse and only the fur is used. However, as your coat is vintage fur, I would say wear it if you want to, although I like the idea of donating it to animal shelters to keep animals warm.
