    Health risk? None whatsoever

Easy so say when you've not seen a loved on gasping for breath in an oxygen tent as their lungs collapse.

You wont get Legionaires disease from a water tower,a cooling tower more likely.

one pound fish..makes me laugh...six for five pound one pound fish...lol...

The tower does have mobile masts on it so I suppose there is a small perceived health risk from them. I wouldn't be bothered and would enjoy the high speed mobile data....possibly not having a landline and tethering a mobile instead.

There is no more risk of catching legionnaires' decease from the water tower than from your own shower.
Legionella bacteria can be found in any freshwater environment - such as rivers and lakes - although it is incredibly rare to become infected from these sources. This is because the bacteria are often only present in low numbers as the temperature of the water is usually too low for the bacteria to grow and spread.

However, if the bacteria manage to find their way into an artificial water system, given the right circumstances, they can quickly grow and reproduce, leading to a widespread contamination of the water system.

The two things that the legionella bacteria require to grow and reproduce are:
    a water temperature of 20-45ºC (68-113ºF)
impurities in the water that the bacteria can use for food, such as rust, sludge, algae and limescale

Water systems known to be vulnerable to legionella contamination include:
hot and cold water systems for large buildings, such as hotels and hospitals
air conditioning systems that use water for cooling purposes
    cooling towers

However, any artificial water system is potentially vulnerable to contamination. Although rare in the UK, cases of Legionnaires’ disease have reportedly arisen from contaminated:
    baths and showers
    fountains
    sprinkler systems
    whirlpool baths
    spas
humidifiers that were being used in food display cabinets

    It's a lovely house, I wouldn't be put off.

I would have thought that would be likely to give you a bit more knowledge on the subject and make you less likely to indulge in baseless scare mongering.

While that is reason to be upset about Legionnaires, your overall reaction is about as irrational as suggesting that people don't buy properties next door to the British Legion because you have seen a loved one gasping for breath in an oxygen tent as their lungs collapse..

If you are so upset about the disease, you could at least learn more about it, rather than infect the internet with ignorance. This tower is a water storage tower, not an aircon cooling tower
You might as well ask the Wizard of Oz to give you a big number as pay a Credit Referencing Agency for a so-called 'credit-score'

The price is £525K so 5% stamp duty !!!!
Under £500K and its only 3% now that does make a difference.
Looks a great house BUT will the water tower overshadow the garden and cut the sunshine in the afternoon or morning ?
Check the rear gardens direction South facing so lots of sunshine ?
As others have said how do the water people get to the water tower ?
    Road access and car park.
Is the local hospital going to be shut?
Might the water tower be no longer used and if so sold off to a developer who could be your new neighbour and sitting on a deck overlooking your garden ?
Love the house but would like a floor plan
Detached garage and drive and drive out NICE is it shared ?

Looking at the other gardens of the houses on the same side ( lots have conservatories) I think the garden is not south facing.
I would also be concerned about the huge buildings ( hospital buildings ? ) behind.

Perhaps it's a pity that the original tower, built in Gothic style, was hit by a V2 rocket.

However, with recent hospital developments you know what is there and that the immediate environment is not likely to change much, which is a positive.

I could live with the tower, whereas I wouldn't be happy at all being overlooked like that by an inhabited building.

The back garden is east facing and will not be particularly sunny, especially at the end of the day. That would be a deal breaker for me, but I realise we're all different. :)
