Toddler watching too much tv...

I think he's fine. His development sounds spot on!There are usually behavoural patterns in a child who is sat infront of the telly too much, their speech can be late, they have no concentration and can't hold much of a conversation ... if he doesn't fit into this mould then he is doing ok!
Perhaps the telly is on when you visit so the parent can keep him occupied while they chat to you?
The recommended maxium hours for children to watch telly is actually 2 per day!0 -
Pingu is about 5 or 6 .. he is left home alone with the baby (Pinga) his parents neglect them both, excessively chastise Pingu smacking his bottom while lavishing affection on his sister. He goes out alone for hours and hours at a time and noone notices. He is mean to other creatures (a seal and a seagull spring to mind) He steals and breaks things.
In fact his parents need to be prosecuted and the children taken into care. ...
I really like Pingu but there is one episode where his dad shouts at him at the dinner table and he runs away and gets lost - when my DD was about four, she was traumatised by this, and she insisted I had to make the whole scene out of playdo and act it through with her several times so that she could come to terms with it. (In the end I bought her a little pingu playset to save me spending my whole day modelling playdo!)
And don't get me started on the terrible parenting skills shown by Horrid Henry's parents ...0
