Does this mean that you don't have Windows on CD?
If you do, then re-install Windows, removing the previous partition and then connect to the Internet to re-install any missing drivers.
We can help with the details.0 -
What Operating system were you using?
What applications do you need to keep.
It may be as easy putting a whole new operating system on there.

can I ask why it needs wiping ??
we may be able to get it to almost new status without a re-installEx forum ambassador

its painfully slow, its not that fast anyway kids went on some sites and it had pop up after pop up and could not cope..even simple things like closing it down takes ages,it was ok when we got it..if i could start again maybe they could just do homework on it etc.0

looks complicated but its not really, just print the instructions out and follow them , will take maybe an hour or two to do
links to all the software you need are in the thread, if you get stuck I'm around all day for questions (and it will run like new afterwards)

Have you made sure there's no viruses or spyware on there? Go through the malware removal guide sticky.
Edit: Browntoa got there before me"She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

Any chance of computer specs?
Right click on 'My Computer' and select 'Properties'. You don't need to post the 'Registered to' part.0
