@dizzyrascal- yes the gadget is only of use to the company where my other half works. no individual would have any use of the gadget so there is no point in stealing it.
the employment agency are refusing to pay for a replacement and think my other half should pay.0 -
Sounds like it could have been left somewhere while someone was on their rounds.
Is it possible to check when and where it was used last and then have a look in this area for it, this may also narrow down who used it last0 -
Is there any CCTV ?
Your husband needs to request a full investigation - including the company notifying the Police of a crime has been committed.0 -
they have apparently checked everywhere and becasue it went missing whilst my oh was on shift he will be personally responsible.....they are now checking whether the insurance he has with the umbrella company whom he gets paid through would cover the cost.......so frustrating, i have spoken to acas who say they cant take money from his wages unless there is a clause in his contract allowing them to, and if they pursue him personally it would be through a small claims court!!!0

no cctv but requesting a full investigation with police notification sounds like a good idea0

. I am sure that they will have absolutely no evidence that it went missing on OH shift, if it was not there, as he has logged then it went missing prior to his shift, please stand your ground on this I am sure they will have absolutely no case to take to small claims court.Slimming World at target0 -

They should know when it was last downloaded I would say that would be the starting point.
Do any of the security guards work on more than one site?
Did your other half get on with the supervisor prior to this?
I would say do not accept liability for something he hasn't done. Being a security guard it could have consequences later on. I would suggest they have a more robust procedure.0 -
