Change your bedding? once/twice a week in Winter, everyday or every other day in summer, I LOVE fresh bedding.
Hoover your stairs? Every day, hoover round the full house and then sweep the living room 2/3 times as well (toddler and food need I say more?)
Clean your windows? I wipe the living room one every day as LO gets his grubby finger prints all over it!
Clean your skirting boards? Every couple of days.
Clean under big appliances/furniture? I do under the beds every day when I hoover. Couch sits on the floor so once a week normally. Allappliances built in so no kitchen things to do, under living room table/TV unit gets done every day.
Clean your oven? I have a built in oven I never use so it's always clean. The Halogen oven gets cleaned after every use.
I'm not bothered by other peoples routines, this works for me this is how I like it, I hate when other people jump on you and start making assumptions that kids are sat in front of cbeebies etc all day so I can clean (people have said this to me!!!).Credit Card: £796 Left/£900 October 2011 :eek:Store Card: £100 October 2011

Change your bedding? When its dirty - sometimes every day but can be fortnightly, I do the top to toe thing to get an extra weeks wear out of sheets and quilt covers.
Hoover your stairs? When they look like they need it - have an old house with a boxed staircase so they tend to stay fairly clear
Clean your windows? When I can no longer see through them
Clean your skirting boards? Every few months on the visible bits -hidden bits get a once a year going over
o
Clean under big appliances/furniture? When they are moved!
Clean your oven? Self cleaning![/QUOTE]
Life is too short to get hung up on housework - children will remember being read to, going on picnics, baking cakes together - they won't remember their perfectly iron pj's or mummys spotless kitchen floor.
Clean enough to be healthy, dirty enough to be happy....
There'll be plently of time for polishing when I'm too old and kn@ckered to do owt else:heartpuls The best things in life aren't things :heartpuls

Thanks for all the replies, I tend to clean when it's really needed rather than by a routine but am trying to establish a routine to make things easier.
To the person who asked if I do a wash load every day yes I do 2 sometimes 3 per day! And still get a backlog, there is only 4 of us but dp and kids do loads of sports/activities which create sooo much washing, including lots of muddy stuff that I won't put in with the regular washing!0 -

Hoover your stairs? Once a week - twice if they are looking 'bitty'. They do need a shampoo though
Clean your windows? Er . . .
Clean your skirting boards? I've got one of those Pledge fluffy dusters and have a flick round everything a couple of times a week. I flick over the skirting boards (the visible bits anyway) then
Clean under big appliances/furniture? I move the sofa and armchair in the lounge once a week to vac, and also take all the cushions off once a week to vac. That's the only furniture I do move though
Clean your oven? I did it on Sunday, but it's not very often. Luckily as I only ever cook vegan food it never gets really dirty, so only really needs some soda crystals and a wipe over. I wish I could take the door off and clean between the glass though.
These are the big tasks that never seem to get done in my house, I try to do the beds every week but when my wash basket is overflowing I try to clear the backlog first so it is sometimes 2-3 weeks! I hate hoovering the stairs and cleaning the oven the most!
I know what you mean about the wash basket. My house is like a launderette!0 -
