What about the Hyundai i800? I don't know much about them, but they're massive, although they are pretty expensive, because not that old.

    I've got a Citroen C8. I wouldn't have another - it's had a new engine.
  • I love my zafira. The boot isnt very big when the seats are all up but you can put only one of the back seats up so you have more space. We use the footwells for stuff too. You just have to be sure it will all stay put if you have an accident.
  • I just upgraded from a supermini (Opel Corsa D) to a bigger car - Opel Zafira and the extra space is really nice and comes in very handy especially on longer tips. You can get some really nice deals at online auctions or salvage auctions. Try internetautoauctions.com or similar websites and you will be shocked when you will see the deals over ther. Do a google search on it.

Before buying the Zafire I tested the Scenic which is nice as well but I just have a thing for German cars. I think they are very solid, well build so it was an easy choice for me. Totally recommend the Zafira.

    Cheers!

Think the cost of importing it to the UK might be a bit prohibitive. :rotfl::rotfl:

If the OP's looking for a car with a large boot and needs to use car seats for 4 children, I don't think the Zafira's the one to go for. It's only the size of an Astra estate. The middle seat is a 2/1 bench, rather than 3 separate seats, which put us off when we saw one and came to think about how the car seats would fit. And if you need to use the rear seats, they are right up against the back window, and quite flimsy.

I personally wouldn't be happy using the rear seats on a regular basis with 4 children. It's probably OK as an estate car for a smaller family, with the bonus of useful occasional seats in the boot, though, but I wouldn't count it among the 'proper' MPVs.
  • completely agree about the zafira- a friend has one and i would say it may even be a bit smaller than the scenic we have.
you have all given me some really great suggestions, just need to do my research and then send other half off to test drive them!
  • I could recommed the Toyota Priva. 7 and 8 seats option (if you fancy some more nippers at some point) although the seats car be removed. The Privia has one of the biggest load areas ive seen in a people carrier. Small boots are a down side to the people carriers....
