Ally Pally is much too small for the BBC now, any expansion or relocation.

The plan simply involves turning the old BBC studios there into an exhibition/museum and learning space for school visits. The BBC won't be moving back in.
The other main elements are a hotel and renovation of the theatre.
It looks like it'll be nice - but the plan is not a massive redevelopment / infrastructure project (i.e. they're not building a Westfield or Dome).0 -

No they're just bringing ally pally back to life, it's a good thing for London, it will be another string in its bow. It secretly help save us in the Second World War, it pioneered tv and used to have one of the most swinging jazz bars I've ever been lucky enough to have been a nipper in.
