  • Well its pretty early at the moment Padington, the plans are very speculative.

I wouldn't sell your home in Windsor Gardens to buy in Alley Pally quite yet. Don't spend too much on marmelade celebrating.

Padington...you do like to regularly update everyone on what a great place to buy the Alexandra Palace area is!

It's almost as if you had a vested interest in prices rising in the area! ;)

Where to buy in London ? Near Alexandra palace perhaps ...

I do have a vested interest, been pretty damn clear about that too with many posts stating I've lived in the area all my life. I own one house, never want to sell but I do think that it's a great area to move to if you wanted somewhere undervalued and on the up.

To be honest I'm doing myself a dis - service by sharing the good thing as my family wants to move next door and I might be in danger of making that less possible.

That's doesn't matter, it means the big lottery bid that's been put in to develop it is much more likely to be accepted as per ally Pally's own recent tweet.

    Oh as a leisure facility

I thought you were referring to the growth potential of any new property built there (in the general area not actually on the palace site).

Yeah if plans go ahead - as planned, the BBC will be showcased there, a beautiful theatre will be reopened and the whole site will be joined up with a new large court and hotel and eventually cross rail will link it to Hampton court which would really put it back on the map.

I like Ally pally too. I used to rent a room there a long time ago. However I think that the crossrail is going to be a long way off. I will certainly be well and truly retired and suspect that I will have popped my clogs by the time it is up and running (if ever)

Why would you want a house next to a massive redevelopment & the carnage that brings.

Let's hope Ally Pally is left as it is.

Ally Pally is much too small for the BBC now, any expansion or relocation.
