  • Thanks Abestross, I have complained to Equifax well over 10 times in two years. they just contact Arrow, who come back with their standard response to contact them directly, so I am going round in circles as I have it in writing from Arrow that it is nothing to do with them, and I have given all this to Equifax who do nothing about it.

It is so frustrating, I was wrong to default with natwest in 2004, but I am still being punished for it still 9 years later and Equifax does not want to help at all.

I will keep on fighting to get it sorted.

It appears you have been going the wrong way about it previously, forget Natwest, ICO and Arrow for now and just deal exclusively with the FOS.

As said before Equifax will do nothing about it....you are wasting your time with them. Equifax will NOT remove the default unless being instructed by the organisation which placed it in the first place.

Yes Stephane is totally correct Equifax will not do anything without the lenders say so. :D

It would be great if you could just call up to request its removal without any investigation.

Very good advice and do agree.
Obviously neither Equifax nor Arrow Global are willing to investigate so I think the next logical step would be the FOS.
Its easier to make decisions in life, than it is to live with them.
