RSA Echoice have cancelled my policy!

I wonder if the OP's description of the accident included the words "was on my way to work" or simular. The form they then sent (or forgot to send) may have been questions about the work and how often OP has the car. The insurance company may well assume the work is full time and like the other poster think the OP is the main driver.
I think I would put a complaint in writing about the cancellation, from the policyholder listing the hours/days the OP would use the car and restating the fact that the policyholder is the main driver. I would also mention the fact you were told a form had been sent-but you never received it, but are both happy to answer any further questions they have.

Claim forms always ask what purpose the car was being used for at the time of the accident to check the use was covered.0 -
How old is your grandad? Retired? Still working?
What regular use does he have of the car? Anything in particular?
Jobs, Hobbies ??
As mentioned above were you on the way to/from work?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

I'm guessing the OP will answer the grandfather has "access" to it for the other four days and evenings.0 -
RSA are still investigating accident. I was not at fault other driver pulled out of a side road into my path. Car is not teenage car (has no modifications) and I am female and have no points on my license.
EDIT Yes he is retired uses car for recreation I.e shops, pictures etc. The alleged form was not accident form it was a questionnaire which I was told today was investigating the fronting. However this definitely was not received. It would be in neither of our interests (me or policy holder) to ignore this letter.0 -
If you are suffering because of lack of car then it might be worth going direct to the insurer of the car that hit you. If they accept liability they will provide a hire car & sort your car out. Your "difficulties" with RSA should have no effect on this side of it.
Otherwise, concentrate on get your ducks in a row as per post #19 and get on to RSA for a copy of the questionnaire.
I'm assuming you have commuting cover under the policy if you were going to work rather than on a shopping trip.0 -
