Does anyone know where to buy one at a lower price than the Apple store?

Thanks in advance

You probably won't find them much cheaper than the price Apple sell them at.

Just be careful with phone insurance if you buy off ebay, you need the original proof of purchase in the event of a claim, sometimes they get funny with warranty claims also.

Also sometimes someone will buy phones from people like vodafone EE 02 three and or all the others networks then they cancel there bank account or stop paying the monthly fee or whatever then they sell on an internet website then 1 month later the new buyer of the phone finds out the phone gets blocked by the networks

  • Apple are known to be quite strict with retailers as to the price they can sell their products, so other than taking a risk with eBay, or perhaps an Amazon marketplace seller, you may struggle to get it cheaper.

A lot of the big recyclers sell the better of the devices sent to them. Many are sim free.

I know you're right but it begs the question: is price fixing illegal in the uk?

Apple sell the iPhone to networks for a certain price, and the networks then price the device accordingly. For instance, the iPhone 5 16GB is £529 directly from Apple, but £499 from Three on PAYG. Products that are in high demand tend to be priced higher. I don't think this is price fixing, it's capitalism.

And I suspect price fixing probably is illegal in this country.
