Do you need an 'other income' slot cant you just add it to income?
ps If you really need support on this please refer to the site owner.0 -
I think it has a wider impact on discouraging saving, discouraging self-suffficiency, it penalises those that do save and rewards those who do not etc etc. It encourages a spend rather than save culture. To set an arbitrary limit of £16k affects those with £16,0001 unfairly against those with £15,999.
In short I think it's simplistic and typical of a government who legislates without thinking it through.
But what I think is not the point of this thread so there's no need for us to debate it.
Its a bit like pensioners of today. if you have a private pension you get nothing and pay for everything..if you only have a basic old age pension you get pension credits, housing benefit,CTB,free dentist etc, etc. And if you go in a home the tab is picked up by the taxpayer. Then you end up worse off for struggling all your life to try and better yourself in old age...0 -
The only problem I have had, is that I have a disabled adult in the home that is not my partner but my son. There is nowhere to add him. So although the actual credit is ok the housing costs are incorrect.0

For some reason it's not working. The link seems to be broken.[SIZE=-1]To equate judgement and wisdom with occupation is at best . . . insulting.

I have referred to the site owner as well but there's no harm in hoping someone on this board might be able to help me.
There's also no hram in me pointing out that the calculator isn't really accurate enough for my circumstances at the moment.0 -

Singularly inappropriate username wouldn't you say? We all "pay into the system" for all sorts of things. Tax isn't just used for the benefit system, it's also used to pay for the NHS, the Armed Forces, the Police, Fire Service, education, etc we all pay in and we all benefit to some extent. There can't be very many people who do not depend on the State for something in their lives.
I can only feel pity for whatever it is that has happened in your life to make you so angry and bitter.0 -
Hey it's a public, open forum. Anyone is free to comment on whatever thread and post what they want to so there's no need to be so vile and rude.
Must have been something really bad that happened to you, poor you.0 -
Gosh, you are just filled with hatred aren't you? Bless you my poppet, I do hope something nice happens in your life some time soon.0

so if you have savings over 16k you get nothing?
so what will happen with savings under 16k? will your benefits be based on how much savings you have like a tiered system. or will everyone entitled to benefits with savings under 16k be entitled to the same amount regardless of how much savings they have?Debt Free September 2018 :j0 -

I dont know what happened with you two and why your both at each others throats , but at the end of the day we all need to survive and claim what we can to make life easier , i have no problem people claiming what they can and just hope they can live better lives doing so .0
