A 2 yr old and a newborn - how to make it work?

Hell no!! My second was an absolute demon... then I got with OH after their dad left and we have 2 and again the second is evil! The 2 2nd's never slept, we forever ill, screamed constantly, bit nipped scratched pulled hair and were just generally unpleasant. Had DD1 been my first child I actually might not have had any more. She had my at the point of murder on more than 1 occasion, it is down to her I have a bit of sympathy for those who have been pushed over the edge and hurt their babies (not the ones who do it for fun) the genuine 'cannot take any more' cases.
She is 18 now and was a breeze from about 4
What I didn't say, as I didn't want to worry the OP, was that my impossible baby (who admittedly was also a hugely lively toddler who kept me on the run all the time) became an undemanding, considerate teenager and is like that as a young adult, whereas the easy baby played me up increasingly as soon as she could walk and (dearly as I love her) became a thoroughly stroppy older child and younger teenager and a diva-ish older one, with a hugely expensive taste in clothes and makeup and a penchant for turning into the Incredible Sulk when funds don't allow! :rotfl:
Not that I want to put labels on my children; I constantly keep thinking the younger one will grow out of it, though so far it's been 'a triumph of hope over experience'. They are both very lovable in their own ways.Life is mainly froth and bubble
