Hi
My mate is on the market for a Peug 207 diesel and cant decide between 1.4 or 1.6 hdi.. plus allure or sport. Has anyone had any of these that could offer any advice please?

This forum is full of horror stories about these cars, poor customer service, apparently the engines can't run on Salisbury's fuel (no joke, Peugeot have admitted this to a forum member last week), dpf failures, legendary French build quality. Advise your friend to join this forum and do some research first.

How perculiar.
My long term girlfriend has a 1.4HDi 207 "Urban" and never had a problem with it in the last 2+ yeras of ownership.
She has run it on Tesco diesel (Clubcard points!) for the majority of the time and only ever had to replace two front tyres in 20k ish miles...
Personally, I've never had a problem with it, and a good friend has the 1.6 (56 plate) HDi, and he too has never had any issues.
We both think that the 207's are fantastic cars... The 1.6 HDi is a better car for the motorway's however, but if your mate is doing <10k year, and not much motorway driving, then the 1.4 HDi is perfectly ample.0 -

A family of 4 into a 207? 1.4?
Why not get a bigger car? Something spacious, reliable, comfortable and safe."Retail is for suckers"
