End of contract - Iphone 5 O2 v 3?

Hey guys
Just need some advice as my O2 contract iphone 4 is coming to an end and after 2 yrs desperately need a new phone (Iphone 5 32gb)
I rang O2 and they offered me:
-12 months
-phone £60 (but after 12 months you give it back and get upgrade)
-2000 min/texts
-2gb
=£35pm
With 3:
-24 months
-phone £199
-UNLIMITED DATA
-2000min/txts
=£36
...I dont use many minutes/text but a lot of data from youtube/apps and at the moment my 500mb lasts 1 week, so the 3 unlimited data is very appealing. Plus it offers tethering and i am thinking of getting ipad.
I could probably manage with 2gb but is the shorter contract and much better CS (from what iv heard) worth it? Is 3 really that bad when it comes to problems with contract? Do you get coverage?
Any ideas would be helpful..i would love to stay with O2 but feel restricted at the moment with the data.

consider blackberry z10? go to a shop and try it all out :-)0

Nooooo Iphone 5 is the only option, BB are not in the same league0

bb10 z10 only came out a few days ago - new OS etc. as i said - try it out before you buy.0

both are crap deals,
how many mins etc do you need?0 -
Depends on coverage in your area. 3 can be a bit ropey sometimes
O2's contract sounds a bit fishy if you are just 'renting' your phone. Why are you paying £60 for it? 3's offer is very expensive (£200 up front??)
If you bought from mobiles.co.uk then you could get an iphone 5 (Free handset) for £36 a month (unlimited calls/texts, 1GB data)
Sorry.. just re-read and saw you need lots of data. Hmm, well, you're going to get screwed on a bill.
Best bet is to buy one up-front, pop a giff-gaff sim in then use the unlimited internet on that.0 -
LOL! For £5 more your getting the Iphone!
I am not looking at all these dodgy sites, i used to be on e2save on cashback deals and thats why i joined this site cos of the problems i had!
Mobiles.co.uk deals are not really much cheaper if you want 1gb + more data. Handsets are cheaper I agree0 -

On the 12 month O2 renting deal the 16gb is free its just the 32gb which has a small charge. I currently have 16gb and have to delete lots of music/apps
You can use tethering and your Iphone acts like a modem plus I would be able to watch as many youtube vids as possible as I travel a lot. 2gb really is not when your listening to music etc.0 -
T-mobile beat 3... for £36 a month you get unlimited data/texts, 2000 mins and the iphone 5 16GB costs you £99
So, that's £100 cheaper. Don't forget quidco also
These sites aren't 'dodgy' - they're just difficult if you want to use the cashback from them.
I'd still rather have my Samsung Galaxy S3 than an iphone5 .. I can rip youtube videos to my 32GB SD card quite happily, plus its lots cheaper. But hey, people like iphones. You just need to accept it'll cost you more0
