So DD1 has taken great delight in winding me up all day! I have snapped tonight and really lost my cool
I have sent her to her room.
So now I am sat in the lounge all alone ad it's peaceful...
Must go and sort DW out, make a cuppa and then bed. I feel so tired today. XxGE 36 *MFD may 2043

Tilly Tidy of 8.62 into shiny new account today.
Ok, day 2 of stoptober and despite going To bed early I didn't sleep very well and still feel exhausted today.
Still smoke free though, I haven't given in-despite being surrounded by smokers.
Lacking motivation today.working tonight so going up to bed soon.

Tilly Tidied £8.98 into my new account today-well, part Tilly tidy and part the amount I have saved not buying cigarettes. I also transferred some in yesterday as I received a nice M & S voucher of £25! Handy for some food shopping.
So now I have over £77 in my account from saving money and making/raising money.GE 36 *MFD may 2043

Hiya Cath Well done on stopping smoking. Great news :T
Sorry to read you're not happy in your current job. Have you looked into what you would like to do? If so, it would be worth starting to work towards your goal by considering what skills/ qualifications/ experience do you need to be able to achieve your ideal job. If you're on a low income some courses are discounted and may also qualify for student status so getting student discounts in shops etc.
As for the savings... a big well done there! I'm going to kick start my Tilly tidying too and hope I have enough self discipline to actually get the pennies into the bank lol
Have a good weekend x0 -

Thank you both.
The problem with changing direction is that I will need to retrain I think. As the experience I have is from over20 years ago.
Anyway, a friend of mine works in a recruiting agency so when I next see her I am going to ask her for some pointers.
The problem I have is fear of the unknown. I am in a secure job etc- so lucky really, but nights and weekends mean you have a very limited/lacking social life.
And when I don't work at night I am still on night mode and wide awake when I should be asleep-unless I'm totally worn out from trying to catch up with sleep.
Hope you both have a good weekend too. XxGE 36 *MFD may 2043

OMG I can't believe I have let my thread lapse for so long.
In my defence apart from needing a good kick up the arris, I have had a very busy and eventful month-just not for debt busting
This month I need to knuckle down and sort out some figures.
I also need to log expense-be them needs, wants or wreckless spending.
So today I managed to spend 64pence on an amazon deal as mentioned on a thread on mse. https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4808722
I also transferred £15 into my lottery account.
That's all for today.£15.64

Well today we went shopping
Mr tc bought me breakfast
I then bought 2 books from a cs £3 for both-useful books though wartime and post war recipes.
Father Christmas chocolates and chocolate coins -Mr tc paid
A tin money box-£1
A bath sponge 39pence
So total of £4.39 I spent -I don't think that's too bad for me.GE 36 *MFD may 2043

Stupidly managed to acquire an unexpected £35 bill today-to be paid in next 2 weeks.
Spent £5 on necessary groceries today.
Anyone have any suggestions for using fennel in a recipe please. All I seem to be able to find is fennel as the main ingredient in a recipe.
Been a hectic and worrying last few days.GE 36 *MFD may 2043

Mr tc is paying my unexpected bill-bless him
But my car sounds like a tank.so I'd better book it into garage soon, and I hope it's something simple and cheap.
