 Evening ladies!
Massive congrats to all the BFPs I missed, and hugs all round xx
Well - we are all moved and are now officially back in the UK. It's been a very emotional and stressful few weeks, but I am so pleased to be home. After the events in Nairobi over the weekend, my mum is also very pleased I am home. That was our local mall, and very close to our old house. We were there a few weeks ago at the cinema. A friend lost her life - it still hasn't sunk in.
I felt a bit awkward about posting this next bit (as due to above move I've not been around for a while), but the lovely Mrs_T_M convinced me it was OK. I got my BFP last week. Completely unexpected as I was the most stressed and exhausted I have been for a long time this cycle. Part of me still thinks that when I go to the doctor's in two weeks time, they will tell me I imagined it.

Congratulations Goppers and now kalama! Amazing news for both of you. I hope you both have a happy and healthy 9 months!
Kalama sorry to hear of your friend, its horrific news. I can well imagine exactly why your mum is so please your home. Of course you should post your BFP. Glad your move back went ok.
Will try and catch up individually later on but until then hugs to those who need them, thanks mrs tm for the lists.
Please can I be updated to CD2. I think?! AF arrived last night but she's a bit early as I had a positive opk 10 days ago. my lp is always 12- 13 days. So who knows what's wrong with my stupid body now. unless it an implantation bleed? I think that's wishful thinking more than anything though.
ah well theres always the nest 55 days to try and guess when im ovulating.
Hugs to you all,

Congrats to all the BFPs ! So pleased for you all !
I went for my 21 day bloods today, i know i'm day 22, but i couldn't go yesterday, so today it is. I have to go back on Day 3 of my next cycle (assuming i don't get a BFP in the mean time) as well as do a pelvic scan just after AF leaves town. Glad things are moving forward, hoping to get some answers. They tested for all the usual palava plus TSH (thyroid hormone) and german measles and toxoplasmosis immunity. Couldn't do blood sugar levels as i had to go in the afternoon, seeing as i was working the early shift. I'll do that when i go fro day 3 bloods.
Hugs to you all xX0 -
Congratulations kalama. Sorry to hear about your friend.
And congratulations Carmilla. The BFPs are building for September!!
Afm - after yesterday's breakdown regarding fs appt I received a call today to ask if they could bring my appointment forward (err... Yes please!). So now instead of waiting 5months I now only have to wait 3weeks! So much more relieved.
Unfortunately my OH isn't around the day of the appt and I'll need to go on my own which I'm not keen on. I do much better in my personal life when there is someone else around to get my brain thinking straight - very different to my professional self.
Codemonkey - I haven't been asked to complete any questionnaire yet but I assume I'll get to do all this in the next appointment.
As my partner can't come - would you recommend going on your own or asking a friend to come? I'm not sure what I think yet. I would only ask a VERY close friend and only to wait in the waiting room. I don't have family in this country otherwise I'd ask my sil. Only thinking for someone to talk with afterwards and discuss what is said.0 -
aquamarine in terms of the pill, I'm sure there are other people more knowledgeable than me on here but I thought you usually had a bleed when you stopped taking it then start ttc the following cycle. It can take people a few months for their cycles and oving to regulate.
I was on the mini-pill so I don't usually get an AF. If ever I miss a pill I don't usually bleed if I carry taking it as soon as I remember. It's been so long since I last had an AF that I can't remember how long it was after stopping the pill.
I probably should have waited for my next cycle before ttc but I'm so impatient I decided I wanted to start trying straightaway and also I get really ill when AF arrives so I'm hoping to conceive without having to have one. This means I'll have no idea when I'm ovulating, but me and OH are BDing every other day so hopefully as soon as an egg gets released it will get fertilised.
We were lucky enough to conceive naturally last time and I'd been on the mini-pill just before and managed to avoid having an AF so I'm hoping the same happens this time. We were NTNP last time and because I don't usually have AF we didn't realise I was pregnant until the morning sickness kicked in at about 8 weeks. I was dated off the scan. At least this time I've kept a record of when I stopped taking the pill so if I do get a BFP I can hazard a guess at how many weeks I am. If I test every week then I should be able to work it back. Just resisting the urge to test every day, as I said I'm impatient! I'm also 34 and "obese" so I know it might not be so easy this time.
Congratulations to all those who have had their BFP in the last couple of days.0
