Congrats chelseablue :j
becs I hope that you've just tested too early and get your BFP in a few days
Feeling a bit out of sorts at the moment, completely despondent about the whole TTC, have some personal issues going on which I can't discuss on here as don't want to give anything away but just finding everything a real struggle at the moment and like nothings going right. I know already we're going to be out this month as well which doesn't help ( unless it's an immaculate conception! ), but maybe thats not such a bad thing with how I'm feeling at the moment.New House... Oh and I normally test 14/15 DPO as that is my usual luteal phase length. Should probably try and hold out longer!
Oh thank you, I have seen them in Poundland- but am too embarrassed to buy them- its a very small shop and the tests are in the very first aisle and Im paranoid someone from work will see me!! Maybe Ill have to go to one in the city I live this weekend and get some.
I have no idea if or when I ovulated, I did have a little twinge in my right side but no idea whether it was ov pain or just something strange, this was cd 13 and cd 14, Ill just have to wait a few weeks and see how my cycle progresses, I have a feeling its going to take me a while to get my cycles back to normal- Im sure Ill be bothering you all with lots of questions, I hope you don't mind!:)0 -

Phew glad its not just me that gets embarrassed!! (and Im 30!:rotfl:)0 -
ThinkPink- a fair few of us (old timer types) buy our OPKs/ HPTs from http://www.homehealth-uk.com/ . Mainly because they're cheap and accurate- if you're in this game for much longer than 6 months you end up spending a bloody fortune on sticks to wee on! You can get different sensitivity OPKs (in case you have pcos..) and you can get very sensitive HPTs (10mui) which are much more sensitive than tests like clear blue digis etc. I think on the first page there is a list of test sensitivities.0

The packaging is discrete as well so no embarassment when they drop through your letterbox.0

Oh thank you, its helpful to have a recommended site. I think I may order some to put away. Ive never had to a pregnancy test for real- I had to do once before having an op, but I knew I wasnt (but the hospital obviously have to be sure) so Im pretty clueless about what is available and what is recommended so its very helpful to have this site rather than spend a fortune on expensive ones (I would probably only get on of these if Im lucky enough to get a + on a cheaper test)0 -
I second tcod recommendation of the home health tests and opks both of which work just fine. The best bit is you can go Poas crazy and not have to feel guilty about the cost! I did get some more expensive ones when they were bogof in boots but I haven't had occasion to use them yet as I'd only use them to back up a cheapy. I also have a lonely digital one left over just waiting to be used so quite a mixture really!
I buy the cheapies in packs of 50 does that make me a crazy lady? Lol0 -
It makes you an experienced ttc'er.
