Trying for a Baby Part 9

Hello everyone
I am officially rejoining the thread now, as am 3 days into the 2ww and if I don't have anyone to talk to about it I will go mad!
A little biog - I am mum to a 2yr old DS who was conceived quickly and naturally in May 2010. So I am a bit of a novice to the whole TTC thing - I was doing my temperature and IC OPKs but really it was just down to luck of the draw as we don't DTD that often really. Less so now DS is on the scene as he was an early riser so we were always exhausted! However, managed to get a little DTD in on Valentine's Day and hopefully it was around the right time - although FF app seems to think my cycle is always longer than it it.
I haven't been doing my temp this time round as have to leap out of bed what with DS waking up so can't really find time to do it.
We used Conceive Plus as I've been very dry since having DS. We were going to use a standard lubricant but thankfully I read that they can inhibit sperm so splashed out on CP - hopefully it will help!
So, I don't know exactly when I ovd but FF thinks today based on a 29 day cycle, last month my cycle was 24 days so I'm hoping we've hit the targetI'm on CD16.

Sorry to hear about your TTC journey Mrs TM but on the bright side at least your GP hasn't dismissed your weight concerns and hopefully you'll get all of the support you need to get to a healthy weight and be around for all your future kids for a long time. I really hope that the dietician works out for you. With the PCOS thing- you don't have to suffer with all of the quintessential symptoms to have it. i.e. you may not have cysts on your ovaries causing ovulation/ cycle problems but you MAY have the hormonal imbalance/ acne/ weight gain etc.- you would still be classed as having PCOS so it's not an avenue that should be closed to further investigation just yet, especially as the first step for it is simple blood tests done on day 4 and day 21 of your cycle (they look at the FSH to LH ratio...)
Welcome to Lillian. May your stay here be short and your TTC journey be filled with happiness rather than the lunacy it seems to inspire in some of us!
AFM. My cycle and duo is totally p*ssing me off. I should have started AF yesterday. Didn't. DUO recorded a temp rise. Got hopeful- BFN despite the best attempts at getting line eye. Today DUO adjusted yesterday's high temperature to level with the day before and today's has plummeted. Obviously won't know until tomorrow if they'll adjust today's temp or if it's accurate as they've adjusted massive temp dips before... TMI Cervix seems to have disappeared- before AF it's usually really low and have had no cramps but am getting one sided ov type pains. Am fuming. Obviously AF is staying away to do my head in because I have to arrange a HSG this cycle... I've never had an extended luteal phase before. Pfffffffffffffffffffffffffff.0 -
Thank you tea (great user name by the way - Izzard rocks!). Hope you get some good news soon xxMy debt free diary | Post Office loan: £2131 1429.38 | Barclaycard: £4429 1988.12 | Paypal Credit £322.71 574.91 | Monzo Flex £169.03 |

Thanks Lillian. I think good news from my ovaries is highly unlikely but there's always soul crushing hope I suppose...
Apologies- I'm a gloomy mare when I'm waiting for AF!

Angeltreats I temp chart using the DUO fertility monitor. It's driving me mental. I think most people buy theirs from amazon- could be wrong though...0

Must channel zen like demeanour of tinkwings....
and stop looking at charts on FF that show massive temp drops and positive pregnancy tests...

What part of your cycle is the complete alcohol no no? My 'My Days' is yellow (fertile days) Sunday 24th - Fri 29th. With Fri being the brightest day (most fertile)
I've been invited out Sat 23rd, and was considering a couple of drinks, and was wondering how long they stay in my system?
I could avoid all together, just i've been having a hard time recently, and it'd be nice to get out!:j - DS - 7

I don't know the medically right answer MSM but my hunch would be just go for it! If you consider that implantation doesn't happen until 7-12 days post ov I can't see that you having a few drinks before ov would hurt. That said I don't drink so am probably not the expert here...0

Help. Am I doing something wrong? I've been tracking bbt for past week and its steadily rising each day yet I was due af today (always wake to af so wont come today now). Always have spotting day before but nothing still. Did test sat night as was in a really hopeful mood but bfn. My cycles are always 28days. I thought my temp should be dropping or have I got it completely the wrong way round? Feel like I'm going loopy thinking about it! XxDD1 June 1997

Hi angelmommy Are you doing your bbt at the same time each day? Have you changed your sleeping pattern? Are you using the same thermometer? Did you definitely ov when you think you did?
If it's a genuine rise then than may be a good sign- however combing through FF charts (like the lunatic I am) there doesn't seem to be a hard or fast rule to predicting pregnancy via bbt as some people have massive drops then get their BFP and some seem to have rises and get their BFPs... fingers crossed yours is a good rise...
Do you have a link to your chart?0
