    Hi All

Congratulations on the recent BFP's, there's been a rush on :j Also good luck to those nearing the end of the TWW!

AFM, had the blood tests to check for PCOS and they're all back as normal although my white blood count is low so that test has to be repeated in a few weeks.

I was convinced I would be diagnosed with PCOS.........not that I want it IYSWIM but it would explain the irregular cycles aswell as skin, hair and weight issues.

    Meh!

Debs - my (admittedly limited!) understanding is that for a diagnosis of PCOS drs will look for scan results/blood results/symptoms. I thought they would still consider PCOS if you only had 2 out of 3 of these.

But having written that down it doesn't look right so there's a good chance I totally made that up :o

14dpo today, tested this morning and BFN, no sign (or symptoms) of AF making an appearance yet though. So frustrating!

    Hugs for CD1 Mrs_T_M!

    Thanks Tea

I havent actually spoken to the Dr, I just assumed it was ruled out as all results were normal (whatever that is) except the white blood cell count.

I'll go and see her after this test is repeated and see what that brings. Fedup.com!

    lavender jam??

Well, lavender jelly, just not jelly like uk jelly if that makes sense. Like no bits jam I suppose. It's flowers steeped in boiled water, strained, a bit of lemon juice or white wine vinegar added, and pectin and sugar added. Boil it to get the right consistency and then stick it into jars. I'm using second hand jars, so I'll be processing mine in a water bath canner.

    I'm trying this recipe: http://www.happyvalleylavender.com/lavender-recipes.php#jelly

And the box of certo there ends up being 1.75 oz pectin, but I still haven't found a proper equivalent to uk pectin (much finer here!) so I'm going to be guessing at that part! I've got a huge bowl on my lap being filled up with dried lavender buds that someone gave me earlier this year. I'm going to get brave and try to make soap later on. Maybe... :o

I love making strange and normal batches of jam and jelly. Honeysuckle jelly, rose petal jelly, violet jelly, strawberry and rhubarb jam (DH's favourite), dandelion jelly, strawberry jam, plum jam (both golden and purple) are the ones I've tried since I've moved over here.

I've found a cherry tree on public property that has ripe cherries, so I plan on going cherry picking this evening or tomorrow. I can't pick much because I'm too short!

Wow, I've rambled a bit! :rotfl:

Mrs TM - someone I used to work with made us lavender biscuits and they were lovely. Sort of shortbready, but with just a bit of lavender in there... not enough to taste 'soapy'. Enjoy your jam/jelly :)

Dodgy Hugs to Mrs TM :grouphug:

Totally agree with royal baby blues, even shed a tear last night. Also been crying (or close) randomly all day! Silly things seem to send me off. At one point I nearly told someone to go away in a non polite way at work and then nearly cried apologising.

Think my hormones are properly playing up this month. Think I need to write this month off as a teary month and wear a sign round my neck saying 'Please don't speak to me, I'm TTC and prone to silly outbursts!'
