Hi ladies, have spend most of my morning at work reading through your posts. Its so nice to see all the how supportive you are!
Me and the OH have been ttc since Nov 2012. I finished taking my pill after nearly 10 continuous years on the bloody things in October! So hoping that my body is finally getting back to "normal" and rid of all the hormones.
I'm on cd27 which was the total length of last months cycle. Previous months 27-29 days.
Keeping fingers crossed but really don't know if we BD'd at the right time this month.
Probably should have waited, but I've just ordered some OPKs and a couple of CB digis. Still got some cheapy pg tests from home bargains, been using these for the last couple of months.
I guess what worries me is that i had an abortion when I was a teenager (now approaching the big 3-0) and worry that it damaged me in anyway. Irrational I know, as we've only been ttc for such a short time.Mini me due March 2014

welcome to sjlou, big hugs for your worries, i think we all go into this thinking it'll be easy (it always seems so easy for everyone else) but the more time goes on the more you think what if something's wrong?
firefly i feel your pain, many times i have made what i think we should call 'the metformin mistake' lol
hugs to all for AF and those worried about their cycles. i'd make millions off a computer readout programme for uteruses x xLittle Lowe born January 2014 at 36+6

Blah, having bad cramps for the third day in a row. This isn't normal anymore for me and it sucks! Haven't had an AF this bad/painful in about 3 years.
Anyway, with the help of Mr. Co-comadol (not sure if I spelled that right), I've gotten 24 of my strawberry plants planted. Still have 16 left to go, but I've ran out of milk jugs! Eek!
Still need to clean the kitchen, sweep, vacuum and cook a special dinner tonight for myself and DH. He hasn't a clue as to what I'm making him yet!
Welcome to the new people, and hugs to everyone!0 -
thanks teamlowe, its good to be able to talk about it freely.
have told me best mate that we are ttc, but dont want to get into over analysing things with her.
at least you guys are all in similar positions and understand!Mini me due March 2014

Trying to conceive brings back memories of anything to do with pregnancy, abortion etc., plus for many women there's a bit of buried guilt or feeling that might have been their only chance.
Fact is, if the abortion had affected your fertility in some way, you'd have known about it at the time and would have been counselled and advised by the medical team then. Statistically having fallen pregnant once before you're already more likely to fall pregnant again, regardless of how that pregnancy ended.

Ah thanks Birdie
I let dh read that post (of mine) and he said "I'm glad I'm part of that that world in a good way". I said something like, but of course, what else would I be saying? *insert innocent face* And he just gave me *the look* and said I could've just been moaning about him all the time
He's under no illusions then? :rotfl:
Abis, I had a meltdown on dh last night. He said he didn't marry me to be/think I should be some kind of baby making machine (so neither should I), but I just broke down cos that's what I feel like (to some extent) I should beHad a long lie in this morning, so not quite sure how I feel yet today...

CD1 for me. Gutted. That's a 23 day cycle with no EWCM and no +ve OPK. So no Ov??
Last month was a 33 day cycle.
I agree with Birdie on this one. Its better to get a rubbish cycle over with quickly than have one dragging on for like 2 months or something if its going to happen.
Hopefully it was just a one off - you might have even missed the LH surge, and sometimes Ive ovulated but barely had any ewcm so it doesnt mean for sure that you didnt.Hi ladies, have spend most of my morning at work reading through your posts. Its so nice to see all the how supportive you are!

I wouldnt worry about that, I would think that in most cases medically what happens to you with an abortion is the same/similar when you have a medical miscarriage or missed miscarrage, same operation/medication etc and people dont seem to worry about that, so you shouldnt either.
The op I had after my miscarriage was the same as what theyd do for some abortions - a d&c and so I cant see why any effects would be different.
A lot of us have had the same thing of being on the pill for years before ttc, so youre in the same boat!:)0 -
Zippy - please accept lots and lots and lots of hugs x x x0
