Hi! I'm TTC..wondered if I could ask anyone about the Luteal Phase please? x

The Luteal Phase is the the days after Ovulation until your period arrives (or pregnancy). The average LP is 14 days (although everyone is different - mine is on average 12 days). You can read about it in detail here if you wish. :)

Please may I be added to the list - I'm currently on CD10, awaiting ovulation (around day 28 for me, so got a while to go yet). Hope everyone is doing okay - sending hugs and luck to all.

Cm dry up, tesco opk is negative so cautiously saying 0dpo. Not in pink cause waiting til tomorrow to confirm. Not convinced I'm going to get the temp spike ff needs.

And going to throw the remaining opks in the bin and order new ones. Could have missed my surge if not for the tesco one. Ics still very negative.

DH spoke to his friend last night and she said we need a project because she got pregnant when they moved and weren't thinking about it. Hey, worked for TeamLowe. Perhaps I've won euromillions and can move house.

CD1 please Becca when you next update, thanks.

Is it just me, or does anyone else feel a weird sense of achievement when they see a temp rise?

Code, I've had two types of IC opks and one of them just doesn't work for me at all. I think it's to do with sensitivity, as in I need higher sensitivity ones.. maybe because my LH surge is short, I don't know.

These are the ones that do work for me.

These are the ones that don't.

Also re temping, last month my temps were absolutely all over the place. The first half of the cycle they were far higher than normal, the second half they were about the same as they usually are post-ov but all in the same range as the first half so I didn't get any crosshairs and there was no identifiable temp rise. However it was the month I did the CBFM trial and I got a peak, and I also had 21 day bloods done that confirmed I did ov and everything was normal. So I guess despite what people say that temping is the only foolproof way to know you've ovulated, occasionally it must be wrong.

We've been working on our house for a year, plus I've spent almost a year doing one exam after another and half my spare time studying. Hasn't worked for me either!

Hopefully you catch the egg code it sounds like you had a duff batch of opks I have used the home health ones from amazon many times and they were always great, not sure which ones you had. Gosh some people's advice can be painful sometimes cant it big hugs x

Afm today is both my due date for my first bfp and my blood test to make sure the second one is completely gone *sigh*. And I have to give an hour long presentation to a bunch of apprentices on a very boring topic too grrrr roll on 5 o'clock I say so I can come home and mope

I have not had amazing luck with OPKs either, they turn dark but only half the strip, its like half the width it should be and confuses me... We BD'd on the days it did that though so hopefully..

I'm now SS, I'm even making new ones up.. My weirdest.. (stop reading if TMI) you know how its supposed to be genetic if your wee smells after you eat asparagus, well I've never noticed a thing then suddenly on Monday after asparagus, really wiffy. Somehow I decided that was my genetics changing because I'm pregnant, it doesn't even make scientific sense!!!

    *hangs head in shame*

(It IS weird my wee suddenly smelled though!)

I'm so sorry you're having to have that blood test today purcy. The due date is bad enough without that.

Talking of bad advice last night I was reading a Facebook group & these were two of the comments on advice to someone about ttc (there were a couple about it may take a while but there were more annoying ones like this:

'Just try to relax - the first month it didn't work for us I think I was thinking about it too much then the 2nd month we stopped thinking about it so much and it worked!'

'For me it happened really quickly but if it takes a while dont worry it will happen when the time is right.'

Ugh. 2 people who clearly have no reality of ttc after more than 5 minutes! To talk about relaxing after 1 month - I felt like saying are you joking you hadn't had time to not be relaxed yet!
