    Who knows? Apparently not me.

But, I need to stop wallowing, cos I'm off out today - helping my very pregnant friend get ready for her imminent arrival :)

Ah the smug mom memes. One of my friends who has just had a baby keeps posting these on fb. I'm considering asking her to cease and desist for the next week or so cause AF is due soon and this is when I start to feel really down about it all. Do you think it's ok to ask her to stop for a week or is that really horrible?

Sorry about the BFN BZ. Was really hoping this was it for you.

Becca, test. SMU can be more effective than FMU.

I agree about the pictures. One of my old school friends posts something like that every day. Like ’post this if your daughter is the best thing you have ever made’. Not sure why it had to be every single day!

Hugs bz. You will get there.

I would ask her to stop full stop, or hide her from your feed if you just want it to stop temporarily.

I can understand that new mums in particular must get a rush of overwhelming love that they just want to vomit all over fb shout about, and for the most part I let it go cos it's about naivety rather than malice, but people who post crap like this when they knowingly have friends/family who have/had fertility issues/miscarriages need to take a good look at themselves.

    And thanks :o

  • **just a quickie**

BZ - I find those posts utterly repulsive too, and I have hidden certain people on my FB who just can't seem to help themselves posting stuff like that.

I'm really sorry about your BFN today too..have been lurking furiously for news xx

I just asked her to take it easy with them over the next week. Most of the time I can handle it and I don't want her tiptoeing around me but certain times of the month I'm ridiculously fragile. She's a really lovely person and has had a mc herself but fell pregnant really quickly so doesn't really get how it feels. I don't want to hide her or make her feel bad for being in love with motherhood and her!adorable baby (and he really is, this is from someone who doesn't really like newborns). Sigh. In a perfect world, nobody would feel this way.

  • Not that I go on there much, but know someone who likes to label" their kids with problems. Where as I know the Dad in RL and the kids are normal.
