Took the dog for a 3 mile walk this morning and feel a bit better. It's sunny here which is good but none of my summer clothes fit me, which is not good. Going to try and wrangle a half day today so I can get home and enjoy the sunshine before it disappears again.

Morning ladies - hugs to those that need them.

Nothing much to report - I think AF will !!!!!! off today so thats nice at least! I think my use of contraceptive is still affecting my cycles as before I went on its years ago (in fact the reason I went on it) I had 7-10 days of very heavy bleeding and would usually have 'floods' on days 2/3 where I would have to wear night time pads and super plus tampax and change every 2hrs to avoid leaking (sorry if tmi) and now I'm bleeding for about 4/5 days and its reasonably medium bleeding..

Anyhoo, DH has agreed to BD everyday next week and twice Fri/Sat and Sun to give us a decent shot this month so we'll see xx

 Everyday next week AND 2 times Fri, Sat and Sun?! Your DH is a saint! :D

Noticed a few comments regarding the new cbfm, I love mine too and am really dreading sending it back after the trial. It's so small and discreet and looks much prettier than the ones currently in store.

Well, I've just finished my final BD of the SMEP. I think OH is looking forward to a rest! :p

Now off to relax in the sun, have a good day everyone!

Hi I was just wondering as to if there are any side effects and if anyone has actually conceived twins! And also does it actually work?

It feels strange that I am being prescribed medication to make my body do what it should do normally. I guess we just have to be positive and not place too much hope and wait and see what happens,.

I am just wishing this month away now. I think I am CD14 (must look back at the list!). I did an OPK on Wed and it looked dark and yesterdays lighter so maybe I am 1DPO today - who knows!

I had awful side effects, headaches, nausea, really heavy periods which is one reason I only had 3 months on it. I had 2 months where my fs said at my tracking scan we could have conceived either twins and on one triplets! Didn't happen though :(

Having said all that I know some people have no side effects!
Hope you are one of those x

Oh thats not good Becca - I hope so too that I dont have any side effects. I suppose though at least its only for 5 days you have to take a pill - did the symptoms stop when you stopped taking the pill?

According to my Dr (after she had spoken to the consultant) he doesnt want me to do any blood tests or have any scans whilst I am taking Clomid over the next 3 months.

She did kindly say to me on wednesday that she hopes the next appt I make is to see the midwife and not her :o I guess we can but try like we have done the last 11 months - everything is worth a go.

If not then we will have to look at other options. I really didnt think it would be this hard x

We did the whole everyday and twice at the optimum and it was really hard work - hope its pays off for you though!

The Dr recommended to me on Wednesday that we go for the every other day approach from CD10 until + on OPK and then on that day too - bit like the SMEP i think? She said that it gives the swimmers more chance of building up!

    Littleme: re clomid.

I had no symptoms what so ever and for me, it did the trick. I took it for 3 cycles and fell pregnant on 2 of them. I was very lucky and clearly I just needed a boost to sort out the luteal phase of my cycle. I don't think multiples on clomid is as common as you are lead to believe although obviously it does increase the chances.

I'm suprised you're not having any bloods though. How will they know if its working? :S

    Morning all,

I hope you are all ok, hugs where needed.

Feeling a bit crappy today. AF has turned up :( I feel really weepy and also I am dreading telling my husband, as he seems to go a bit narky with me, although I know that he doesn't mean to. We also had a silly row this morning so it is not great timing.

It is now coming up to a year of TTC. I have booked an appointment to see my Dr next week as when I saw her 6 months ago she said that a year was the next milestone.

In December I had blood tests done to check for ovulation which came back fine, last month my husband had the sperm tests which came back fine.

Can anyone advise what may be the next step? Is there anything I should be asking about?

    Many Thanks

Big hugs for CD1 Danielley. :( AFAIK your next step will probably be a scan to check your womb and ovaries etc. You may have an internal exam too with some swabs taken.
