BabyMad the placenta only takes over at about 12 weeks, before that the baby has its own yolk to get sustenance off

    Also...
In 2011, myself and one of my best friends got pregnant, our due dates a day apart so very close in conception. in the '2ww' it was my wedding, so copious of drinking, and a long bank holiday weekend where we had a day session. I unfortunately miscarried but she now has a very healthy 18 month old.
So i don't deny myself anything during the 2ww as i really don't think it makes a difference :o

Becca, big hugs again, i've been annoyingly upbeat in the other thread for you though! :D

thanks for all the congrats, trying to set myself up for disappointment as i know these things fall through all the time, especially with chains but gawd, i'm due some luck at some point, surely??? was saying to DH it's a lovely 'halfway' house too- small enough that it doesn't feel big and empty without children but big enough that we can have one without having to move :)
and i'm totally not looking for dining tables and stuff....

Just sneeking back here to wish bigzippy the hugest congratulations!!! Congrats hunny!!!

No idea where I am in my cycle, and know I haven't been on here in ages, but hoping to be back here now as everything that was going on in my life is sorted.

Oh Becca *massive virtual hugs* I'm so sorry your scan did not go well, its all so hit and miss what info we get and what whims are doctors seem to have at the moment.. I know they mean well, but its all so random, as if TTC didn't feel random enough already! "The next step" might just be some other drugs or an annoying "wait and see" bit before another course of Clomid?

Taking my first Clomid tonight, been feeling tearful all day. Also booked my tube scan thingie for next Monday. Its getting awkward getting the time off.

Thank you so much for the well wishes ladies. The scan went well :) Its been a far harder journey than I ever would have imagined when I started out, and I really can't thank you ladies enough for keeping me sane in the crazy spells, and helping me out during the sad times.

Very much hope to see you all with your BFPs soon.

Lots of love n hugs xxxx

Another FB pregnancy announcement/scan picture. At least this time it wasn't a massive shocker as the guy told OH on Saturday so he let me know before the FB Bomb was dropped right now! Happy for the couple in question but sad and jealous too. :o We were talking to the guy a couple of months ago and he mentioned that they'd been struggling and we told him about our problems and fears... but now I realise that she'd been PG at the time and feel a little duped into spilling too much personal stuff! I thought we had allies... but they were already on the other side! :p Silly thing to think I know! :o

Glad that your scan went well Abis... hope we'll all see you on the other side of this massive, looming, impossible to scale wall soon! :wall:

Nice to see you back Vesper! Glad all that rubbish is sorted now. How are the ferrets?! :)

Haha they are a handfull, we seem to have gained another one at the moment by accident. It was found in our village and we took it in until its owner was found. Except its owner hasn't been found.
Also been spending a lot of time doing my new car up, got a lovely little classic mini. It just passed its MOT last week after 10 years of being off the road.

Thanks for the welcome back Birdie. I'm just so sad that there are so many of the same old 'faces' on here.

Well semi working it out I'm cd10 or something. Not sure really, haven't been keeping track. Just been going with the flow for a few months while things got sorted out. And now can't find my cbfm anywhere.

I'm a bit behind so will catch up soon! I did another test yesterday and it was negative. I only had my implant out 3-4 weeks ago so was being ambitious anyway! Now I think it is time to properly learn what all these abbreviations mean and start charting etc - this is my first time TTC x
