too many lovely deserving ladies on CD1, lots of love to you all x

i've been a bit upset recently to realise that i'm coming up to two years since i conceived. it's starting to feel like a terrible joke my body played on me :(

also now starting to worry that they'll find a reason not to give me clomid at my appointment in 1 week 2 days (not counting) but if they don't i'm going private, screw them x

Anyone know how to get the smell of the horrid glade plug in oil off your hands? I've tried dish soap already. The house came with two, I hate them, so unplugged them immediately. Accidentally just tipped one over and of course it leaked on a few things (thankfully just a paper and a small box, easy enough to throw out) but also got all over my hands as I was throwing it out. I cannot get the smell out and I hate it!!!

Nothing really to report on the ttc side/cycles. Not completely out this month, but I don't think I've ov'ed yet (latest ov since I've been temping).

Giant hugs to those who need them, you just may need to plug your nose due to my hands!

Good morning ladies, thank you for the extra welcomes!

All this talk of post 35 is stressing me out - I'm 36 in 2 months time and just starting :eek::eek:

I have seen quite a few "older" women pushing tiny babies in prams recently though and I know a couple of people who have had their first baby post 35 so I'm hoping not all is lost :o

Hugs for CD1 - lots of chocolate and wine for you all!

    Hoping to conceive 2013 :D
  • Mrs TM - use a lemon. I've done that before and because its so oily its really hard to get off. A fresh lemon cut in half and wash your hands with it, squeezing out all the juice, because its acidic it should cut through the oil. hope that helps x

I thought I would wake up to cd1 but I didn't, but was going to work so had to put a tampon in cos I wouldn't have time there if I did, and now I'm home for a bit & too scared to look lol! I know I'm out though as feeling a tad crampy & got a bit of a doggy tummy which is a sure sign.

Yeah I was hoping it would be a lucky month for us too.

It's not even so much I feel like 30 is old or anything But I started ttc at 27 so kind of had that goal in my head!

Excellent advice about using a lemon, Lemon! ;)

I'm looking forward to your FS appointment for you TL! Hope you get the clomid! :)
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

If you don't mind me asking what was it that meant you were able to conceive then but now struggling? Do you think it was just good/bad luck? Pcos meaning you can conceive but just makes it harder?

I'm scared that could happen to me as I'm always trying to stay positive by thinking well I got pregnant once so I can again but this seems to happen to a lot of people,

Having said that I also know someone who had to have ivf but then for he second child fell pregnant naturally so I guess it can work both ways!

I would just like to remind you all that TTC40 just got knocked up and many of the graduates of the previous thread were over 35. I really think that a 'healthy' 40 year old has more chance than an unhealthy 32 yo. Just take good care of yourselves ladies and seek medical help if you suspect there is a problem.

TL - I have the same worries about the Docs in March but have decided that I am going to be [STRIKE]pushy[/STRIKE] assertive about it. I stood my ground to get the metformin and I have done everything he has suggested so far including losing a stone in weight so now it is his turn to do everythinghe can.

TCD - I think everyone is different in regard to AC. Some people report that it took 3 months of taking it for them to see changes but for me I noticed significant changes in the first cycle, the most obvious was ov'ing very early and according to FF my lp was 2 days longer.

Hugs to all the ladies in the wine and chocolate zone.

Claire, before my miscarriage metformin had given me a regular 35 day cycle and it's all just gone to pot afterwards :o it's not as bad as it was before the metformin where i'd get say 2-3 breakthrough bleeds a year, but it's not helpful when ttc.
i had the miscarriage in the june/july, had 2 lovely 35 day cycles and then wooosh it went away.
i think it's just one of those things with pcos, it sometimes gets better and it sometimes gets worse after pregnancy

Firefly i'm planning on crying! lol they've mentioned my weight and wanted me to lose it but only as a 'if you need ivf you need to get it down' sort of thing.
the first appointment they said 'we'll see what consultant says, either more metformin or clomid' and they decided more metformin, and blood tests but if no good then clomid, then the second appointment the metformin seeeeeemed to be working as i had a good cd21 blood test result, so they said go away and try for six months and if nothing we'll give clomid. i'm just worried they're guna go 'more metformin then!' and i don't want to just keep upping my dose of a drug when it's having little effect

So are you still on the metformin now but it just doesn't regulate your cycle as well now?

Yeah I am a little worried as I've now had two 'normal' cycles after the miscarriage & just hope it's not going to go all wonky again.
