    Anything for the Cheshire or Merseyside Area please?

    The best you can do is contact your local council. I did yesterday, they didn't have any for free but I got offered this one with a large reduction.

    Just bumping up this thread for those who want to start composting this year. You can still get cheap bins HERE
    Standard size 220L @ £8 -£1 if ordered online with free delivery.
    This price may vary depending on how much your local council subsidises them.

    Try this one;

    http://www.recyclenow.com/home_composting/in_your_area/scheme_authorities/cheshire.html

    Pay £8 for the bin and then get a 7L kitchen bin for £2 = £10 all in

    There is a bin available in Maidstone for only £8.00 which is not bad. They also offer a £1 discount for online ordering.

    This is the first time that we have considered composting, and it is cheaper than using our green sacks that we use on a regular basis.
  • Conwy county- £14 :(
    I wanted a free one *sigh*

    Sheffield - £17.00 for a 220 litre, £4.00 for the caddy. :eek:

    Surely they are available in some shops cheaper than this?
