Free 226Ltr Compost Bin

Options
Had a leaflet delivered today offering free 226ltr compostabin for Darlington and Durham residents.

Phoned the number and automaton asked which part of England I was calling from. Had to press 8 for Northeast. Presume there are similar offers in other parts of country (because of The Big Recycle starting on 27th June 2005) so may be worth a try even if you are not from Durham/Darlington.

Number is 0845 077 0757.

Website's worth a visit too as provides plenty of information on recycling options within your area : http:https://www.recyclenow.com/

Happy recycling! :T

Yes, would appear fully automated. I ordered mine at 5.45pm.

Its not the size that counts, its what you do with it - having said that not sure its the same for compost bins as well! ;)

Not sure Voddyman. Leaflet I've got is for County Durham and Darlington where three bins are on offer....two you have to pay for and one, the 226ltr compostabin which is free (rrp £29.99). Not sure why they would only limit it to us in Durham and Darlington...perhaps they think that we need an incentive to make compost? Apologies if your phone call was wasted.

Bins in North Derbyshire are £5 or £15 depending on size you want - still a huge reduction

Well I pressed the number for my area of the country and the next options didn't have my county

I really want another compost bin but I certainly can't afford the £30 local garden centres charge! Damn my council *mutter*
