Afternoon all,
Apologies for not showing my face over the weekend but since having hubby at home i'm a bit busy faffing around in the house.
My lovely tidy uncluttered house is a mass of tools and cables and i'm ready to scream! I tell you, by the time he goes back to work i will be a jibbering wreck!
Dont panic if i dont show my face much. I'm still here but a bit snowed under.
Tru, wonderful news about your friends.
I'd better read previous days 'dailies' to see what news ive missed.
Big hugs all :-)This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Afternoon All
Islandmaid - What a busy day, and it wasn't even lunch time when you posted!
DG - Hope OH gets his wallet soon, it seems to have taken ages.
Bargainbird - When I read yesterday that you were selling a Picasso, I thought you meant a painting!!
Tina - Hope tonights visit goes well.
Congrats to the engaged couple (name has gone I'm afraid!)
Hugs to those feeling under the weather or just down.
Having a panic here, the EA phoned this morning to say that the photographer will be here on Wednesday afternoon. Will have to tidy the inside of the house now and get DD to hide all the carp in her room! Also booked for the Electrician to come and the home report chappie to do his stuff on Friday. Good job I have a long weekend off.
No OS yet, just about to start, bought new rugs yesterday which are upside down so the ends don't curl, will put them down too so the photos look good!
DD met me at the blue and yellow shed yesterday to choose rugs and decided to park facing me. She forgot to stop and bumped my car with hers!! No damage but she had a very red face.
Take care. XX0 -
Afternoon all!
Congratulations, happy birthdays and hugs where appropriate, and hoping Tina has a good visit tonight!
Got another 2 week sick line, and decided to take it to work o give the car a run, my ward is in chaos, the person covering for me has disorganised everything into her was, won't be rushing back to sort that lot out:eek:
Another tearful day , even though my staff are all great and very supportive its not easy seeing people for the first few times, is it?
It was wild on the motorway, don't think there's much weather we haven't had today, couldn't see a thing on the way back for hailstones, snow and spray!
Went to MrT's on the way off the M77, and got 3 boxes of persil for £10, usually nearly £8 each, so that's the laundry sorted for the rest of the year! Currently have shin beef simmering in one pot for a steak pie tonight, and a gammon joint bubbling in another, will make lentil soup and stow it in tubs for DD to take to work, she's been taking salads but its not really the weather for that!
Right, am off to tidy the living room a bit, and really need to iron at some point as I'm running out of tops to wear, have a good one xxRIP Iain

Hi Chums had a lovely lunch and a good natter with my pal, she brought me some wool down as I make blankets out of odds and ends of wool for a charity called the Linus project.
There is at least two left over portions of beef casserole to go into the freezer and tonight I am having some cheese and crackers and fruit as I am still full up from lunch.I have some nice Boursin to use up with some cheesy crackers and grapes and that will do for me, and I can have the night off from cooking and put my feet up instead.
have a good one chums whatever you are doing

Evening all
Today has been like wading through treacle, machines throwing a wobbly, duplicate paper order arrived & so I'm stepping over boxes everywhere.
Came home, had tea, HM fish & chips, then DS came round to make a confession, he's taken up motorbike racing! I already knew, his sisters dobbed him in. He thought I'd be worried & try to stop him, I told him to carry on, I think he's going to break a few bones, but not likely to kill himself.
Have a good evening everyone
Hugs Hester

Am slumped on sofa, full as an egg after toad in the hole, mash, carrots and onion gravy

Jools - It's ok to have a good cry, I still do it now 7 years on!
Exhausted now, been cleaning and tidying since 4pm, had a lovely tea of roast ham and cabbage. Found a selection box left from Christmas so DD and I decluttered it!

Another busy day, got soaked cycling to work, weather forecast said sun??? head wind all way back so took longer, still have saved petrol and burned calories.
Congrats to all with lovely news, hugs to others.
OS WM been on and washing now on airer, DW emptied and reloaded with dinner bits, not full to go on yet. Dinner was chinese style pork from last nights dinner LO, it was jolly tasty, DS said he preferred it to our normal chow mein meal. Dusted and vacuumed downstairs, gave bathroom good once over and washed floors. Put rubbish in wheelie bin, am hoping bit of weight will stop it blowing round the garden.
