O/S Daily Monday 4th Feb 2013 This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!
As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or slow internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred. When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well

Moving is such fun kezlou... Not! Although parts if it is cathartic. Have to just remember that it's what you've wanted and in a lovely area. You'll get there as will the boys
I feel hungover this morning (i'm not, hardly drink) poorly head but just getting on with it. I too best get the lunches packed and if I'm honest uniforms ironed

Morning All
Thought I would start you off today but there was a duplication, so have closed it now, as I am an hour ahead of you all. Nothing much to report, still waiting for DH's Wallet, and I am the driver until it arrives.. The wind has abated a little, there has been a little damage around, but we are OK. Due to return overnight Wed/Thurs.
Molly, Jools, LW, Hilstep, Julie and al others not up to par. ((Hugs)), Spoons, Hi5's, Positive vibes for you all.
Last night we had Swordfish for DH and Salmon for me, served with New Pots, Carrots, Green Beans, and Broccoli. Today I have a chicken to cook, with the veg as yesterday.
Take care everyone. DGMember #8 of the SKI-ers Club

Morning everyone
Hugs to those that need/want them that are having a hard/sad time at the moment x
Now getting light and still blustery but dry here this morning,
DH up and off to work stupid early.
We had a great weekend and the dinner we went to Sat evening was lovely and the food excellent. It wasn't that far away from where we live so we were back home at lunchtime yesterday, so had chance to unpack and chill before going back to work this morning.
Dinner tonight is roast chicken pieces, mash, veg and gravy. Have a very sketchy menu plan so have the food in the fridge/freezer/cupboards so just need to decide what we're having when, I will endeavour to stay away from the shops as my food shopping came to more than I wanted to spend, so this needs to be addressed. Have been doing the main part of the shop in A**i then any other bits I can't get in there in MrA - spent nearly as much in MrA as I did in A**i and it was only a few bits - can really see on a weekly basis how much things are going up. I haven't been all that good at keeping up with the baking/batch cooking - but I do have everything in to do it, so this week I will get myself into gear - even if I need to do it on Saturday - DH has to go on a course for his work, and DS2 has the first of his karting lessons (xmas prezzie) - thinking I may be able to persuade DS1 to go with him as dad is taking him - then if I haven't be able to get the baking/cooking done I will get stuck in on Saturday morning.
I'm sure today will be a manic Monday as every Monday seems to be this way now - it's likely to be busy with people in a panic about unpaid bills and trying to find solutions to how they can pay over instalments etc. We'll see what the day brings.
Keep safe and well x

Morning chums bit damp and miserable here weatherwise.but I am quite cheerful,my oldest friend is coming down for the day from Dartford and we will go to knitting club this morning and have a good chinwag then home for a nice lunch of beef casserole that I put in the slow cooker last thing last night and I can smell in my kitchen this morning. It looks and smells delicious and any left overs will be cooled and frozen for a later date. There will be some as I used up all the cubed beef in the freezer last night:):)
I had a nice meal out with my sis-in-law on Saturday night and as usual we sat and put the world to rights
Hope everyone has a good day despite the windy weather
Take care everyone

Morning :hello:
Just found out that my friends, who have been fantabulous foster parents for years, are expecting their first baby :T Dunno if I'm more excited for them or me - I can now crochet something useful
I'm going to make a smaller version of THIS for them, probably in lemon. I spent yesterday afternoon very annoyed and there was much swearing, but I've finally managed the pattern
I'll make my practice piece (which has been unravelled and redone many times, lol) into a cushion cover.
The carpet is wet in front of the sink, we thought we'd found the leak but it's even wetter this morning. I'll have to take everything out of the cupboard again and dismantle the waste bits *groan*
Mr tru has given me his cold, that's the third one since october. Getting fed up with it now, each one seems to drag on for weeks.Bulletproof0 -

Well a good wkend for us, nice and quiet and very little money spent. Need to post off all our letters today to start our DMP rolling. This week will be the first week on our new budget so shall be watching the pennies carefully every day.
Planning on baking today, a Madeira cake and some biscuits to fill the tins. Also going to do gammon steaks with pineapple for tea and fry some new potatoes to go with it that we're left over from last nights tea.
Already tidied round the kitchen and stacked the dishwasher, rest of the house is pretty tidy and no washing to do.
Also have some bits to list on eBay. I may well not bother getting dressed today:eek:
Off for some toast and marmalade, have a good day all J xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Morning All,
Had a manic weekend. Friends round for dinner on Saturday night. I did HM leek & Potato soup, and Steak & Ale pie. They brought a chocolate cake round, it was three layers, with buttercream, maltesers and choc fingers on it! It was delicious, but you could only have a sliver it was so rich:rotfl:
Fasting day today, so having a banana and blueberry smoothie for breakfast and smoked haddock for dinner.
Had chaos here yesterday as the builder and plumber started on the new downstairs loo. Had to put of DD coming to dinner it was too dangerous for DGD with floors up etc!
Must get my nails done today, they are so long! OH has taken his car in for three recalls, so waiting for him to come back.
Kezlou I pay my TV licence on monthly direct debit. It's about £13 a month. You end up every year with 6 months in advance. They just send me a new on in September, although I think this year they won't, it's all going online.
Have a good day all!I Believe in saving money!!!:T
