Looks like a nice day here but was windy last night.
Having a quick browse before making a cuppa and going downstairs.
The fridge is full of food as DH drove me to A**i on Saturday so might make a large pot of veg soup for lunch before taking dd for a hospital appointment.
Depending what time we get back this afternoon I may only have time to make chops, gravy mash and stir fry. I still have lamb mince and chicken thighs to make other meals with this week. I managed to find out how to apply to have a free menu and recipe booklet sent from the fit4life scheme and am looking forward to it arriving to give me some new ideas. I find most cookbooks etc have maybe three things like we really like and it seems a waste.
Having an arguement with myself about looking at AF site and ordering stuff as I have seen a few things that look really good at a very low price.
Hugs to all and see you later."This site is addictive!"

Morning :hello:
Just found out that my friends, who have been fantabulous foster parents for years, are expecting their first baby :T Dunno if I'm more excited for them or me - I can now crochet something useful
I'm going to make a smaller version of THIS for them, probably in lemon. I spent yesterday afternoon very annoyed and there was much swearing, but I've finally managed the pattern
I'll make my practice piece (which has been unravelled and redone many times, lol) into a cushion cover.
:j yey for babies
Ah Lucy's ripple. I feel your pain. I've tried numerous times but never fully got it. Just when I think I've sussed it it all goes wrong. It'll click for you tru. Well worth keeping at it. I would have loved a ripple for my two when they were babies

Morning everyone

Sun was out earlier and despite cold wind with the birds tweeting it felt like we were on the cusp of spring. Back down with a bump as its clouded over and trying to rain
Anyway plans today are to vac as Luna is deciding to moult a bit more, take some recycling down to recycling point, have lunch with my mum and just do a quick tidy round. Have mount washmore to tackle too.
One of the nice things about weekend viewings is the house is so much tidier come Monday morning :rotfl:
Not sure what's for tea, might be something with left over sausages.
Hugs and spoons all round xxxx

Good morning everybody,
Not had chance to post over the last few days, seems to have been hectic here. Its DS1s birthday today. He had his pressie of a coat a couple of weeks ago when he spotted it in a sale.He celebrated on Sat with a night out in Manchester with DS2 & GF,and a couple of others,so felt a bit rough yesterday
My other news is that DS2 got engaged to his lovely GF last week so we're very happy for them :j.We got invited up to her brothers yesterday to meet her Mum & Dad,brothers, sister, partners, kids-i think there were about 14 names to get our heads round, but they are all really lovely.Got talking to her Dad and he went to the same primary school as me,and lived in the road at the bottom of our street! Her brothers had both cooked a curry,so that was a lovely change for someone else to do the cooking
They have booked a room to have a party but couldnt get in for a few weeks.Need to try & put some money to one side so we can contribute.
Got beef rendang in the slow cooker, but forgot DS1 will be at 5 a side, and DS2 at college,so they won't want it.There's quite a bit so I might just freeze it and have something else for tea..Think I'll make a lemon drizzle for DS birthday though
Tru-nice news, looked at the link for Lucys blog(got a bit engrossed as I havent looked for ages ),and feel like getting my crochet bag out now.
Better go and do something useful now-take care all x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -

Good Luck with the visit tonight.
Have just got out of a lovely long shower with the posh shower stuff and feel downright spoiled with lots of time to myself as dd is downstairs should post or deliveries arrive.
Just as I had got out I heard the door go - turns out neighbours are about to turn the water off  For once my timing was impeccable;) DH will be bereft without tea so got dd to fill up the kettle.
The gas pipes or mains or whatever they are called are being renewed and road is being dug up further up the road starting today so we are expecting possible disruptions. As the hob and double oven are both gas it should be interesting!!!!
I had intended to get washing machine and dishwasher going before leaving house and having lunch but looks like that is unlikely.
Hugs to all."This site is addictive!"
