+18 Prefix

Does anyone know where a phone number with this prefix originates from? My daughter got a call to her mobile starting with this prefix and does not know who is calling.

Just had a look at the international dialling codes and there isnt a +18 in there so may be a overseas call centre.

The international code is infact +1 which is USA and Canada. The area code is three digits long and follows the +1. So she will have to provide the next two digits to locate the area.

Have you Googled the number as it is probably a business, or it could just be a wrong number and I wouldn't give it a second thought.
