Phone contract duration change
Hi all,
Been lurking for a while but first time post.
I took out a contract with T-Mobile in 2011. At the time they had two price plans for the same number of minutes/texts/data - one at 18 months and one at 24 months, where the 18 month cost an extra £100 (one off). I took out the 18 month contract on the phone and the £100 was taken.
However, now it says on their site that I have a 24 month contract - so basically they took my money and gave me the wrong product!
I have been in contact with them but the woman I spoke to was not particularly helpful. I am expecting a call-back from a manager tomorrow.
Has anyone had any experience of something similar? Where do I stand legally here?

If you have the documentation then you are 'laughing' however if you don't then chances are you may have seen what you wanted to see, and you have signed up for 24 months with a £100 towards the deal.0

Must be a tremendous number of people who have poor eyesight if number 2 applies - given the never-ending number of them who arrive on here complaining about being sold one thing and getting another.
NEVER AGREE ANYTHING BY PHONE UNLESS YOU HAVE IT IN WRITING FIRST.0 -
Thanks for your replies.
No, I don't have any paperwork and there lies the problem. Unfortunately they're very good at signing you up without any paper trail. There's only a few months left on the contract and I doubt I'll be able to get out of it before the 24 months, so I'll probably just cut my losses.
Lesson very much learned!!0
