Q. about contention

I am with TalkTalk Business which is where ex F2S customers landed.
I have no speed complaints during the day. It is mostly around 6.8 which is as good as it gets for me anytime.
However around 4pm every day until after 11pm the speed drops badly, typically it is 0.65 - 1.15.
I am assuming contention is the problem here. I was thinking of moving to BT but would it be just the same with them as with TT as they are probably the core provider anyway?
TalkTalk didn't really help me because I could not generate a fail on BTSpeedtester (a fail is 0.6).
In a nutshell -- Is contention likely to be the problem described above and would it be worth moving to another supplier to cure it. Thanks.

TT mostly runs on it's own LLU network. BT runs on BT. One of the usual features of a business contract is that it offers lower contention ratios. but maybe not TT Business. No free lunch, and no free laptop
