how can i use my free txt to ireland?

Hi i am an 02 customer with a tariff that allows me to get 750 free texts but doesn't seem to allow those txt's to be used to txt my friends in southern ireland, does anyone know if and how i can?

You can't, but you might load a small Java program that will send via wap/gprs data, costing a few cents for the message and under a penny for the data use, as discussed in this thread

If you send loads, like a hundred or two a month, note a couple of people's remarks on that thread about free messages from Irish networks' websites, and a mobile program called AFT that logs in to send them.
You might get someone in Ireland to get you an Irish SIM, then use that number with AFT. They might even keep and top up the SIM and spend the credit, as long as you set up the account and password details on the website. Then you'd only be paying O2 (UK) for the data cost.
Otherwise, Vyke is only 2 US cents a message anyway
For the people in Ireland texting you, they might look at AFT, as O2 Ireland's free texts include international. Or they might send you the Irish SIM after all, and you stick it in a spare phone0
